Should we just start the meltdown threads now, it isn't going to be pretty. I have no reason to believe Nebraska will be prepared or up for this game, we will lose. I still love the Huskers, but changes need to be made somewhere.

Looks like we will have 4 losses on the season. I really do not think we can handle that Georgia team after watching them on Saturday. They are going to murder us. Fortunately I like Richt and think he's a classy guy, he'll pull his starters in the early 3rd quarter.
It's bad that i've lost my faith in Bo preparing for this game, but after last night, my faith is gone in him turning this program around with his current coaches.

i came in kinda late and chose to watch aome tevlision. a someone left a box of htese chewy chips ahoy on thetable near the table near the television. i never had one before so i had a cookie now i did. i did ant realize that i was keept keating them. like i had no clue. it was all ofer shocked when i realized i had finished a holy sleeve. they snook up on me. htey are not even that tastya but they have a lat of calories and fats so it is hardly even wort it. anywa i hope this helps becuause i feel the real sh#t abot this.';

Saw one of the Georgia players mention after the game last night that they were and I'm paraphrasing here "Take it out on whoever we play next" Yeah, an angry team that has more talent that we do at every single position, and a coach who is light years better than what we have. Can't wait for the sunshine pumpers to make the case for how this is a win....

I'll be one of the lone voices of optimism - if Pelini and company want to start making amends, then this is a great opportunity against a near Top 5 opponent. While this wouldn't take away the loss, it will help. It will be put on Pelini to have a solid gameplan, as even NU admin knows we can't see that level of out-coaching and game planning two games in a row.

I'd say that the loss to UCLA was pretty embarrassing given that they rolled up over 600 yards of offense. If they had any resemblance of a red zone offense, they would have scored 70, as well.

Do you really think that Pelini can out coach Richt? He's got the same odds of doing that as I do of outrunning Usain Bolt.

Before last nights debacle I would have been cautiously optimistic that we could maybe hang with Georgia. But after last nights performance I don't see any reason to believe it's going to be anything but another huge embarrassing loss.

Nebraska would take a bad angle and get out run by the morbidly obese bulldog on the sideline. That team is going to core out our defense and likely not break a sweat in doing so.

Bowl game winners are usually determined by who is more motivated to be there. Maybe, just maybe that will be Nebraska. Didn't Georgia get run by Sparty just a couple years ago. But then again, talent and coaching may play through and we'll be in the same position a month from now.

I truly hope this is WRONG !!! Everything else that I have seen projected in Tex AM... via 2-3 sites... Most have Geogia in Cotton... Georgia would (imo) be the WORST possible match up for Nebraska.... a pi$$ed off team that could easily be the NC.... very, very fast and hav about 8-9 guys on defense who will play in the NFL...
TAM scares me and LSU is great, but I would much rather line up against them than Georgia......

I'm as worried as anybody about Georgia just blowing us out. But I'd rather play them than Johnny Football, and frankly, playing a top 5 team is the kind of thing that can help get our team excited about the bowl game. A chance for a big upset and a splash at the end of the year - even if it doesn't happen, hopefully it at least makes the bowl practices productive.

Honestly, Texas A&M would probably have been the worst matchup. That game was just screaming 75-17 loss.

Florida is guaranteed a BCS bowl for finishing 3rd or 4th, Alabama is going to the title game, and only two teams per conference are allowed to make BCS bowls. I believe the Cotton Bowl gets first pick from SEC though, so I wouldn't have been surprised to see Georgia go there.

espn is reporting that Northern Illinois will get into top 16, thus go to BCS, moving OU to cotton.... Cotton will probably take home state A-M (especially Johnny Heisman)......leaving Georgia in Cap 1 vs us.....

A lot of people in the know on twitter were saying Georgia earlier, now they have all backed off those claims for now.
Michigan is going to Gator Bowl vs "top 10 SEC opponent"
So it's not cut and dry we are playing Georgia yet. We will just have to wait till tonight.

Thanks for the clarification on the setups. I have never followed any of that stuff. Always seemed like an over engineered load of malarkey to me. At any rate, I will watch the game, but at least it is on New Year's day...if things go to sh#t early I can always flip over to another game.

Oh good....there's still a chance we won't have to be destroyed by Georgia...if we'd have played well last night and lost in say OT I wouldn't have minded a measuring stick kinda game like this but I hope we don't draw this card. I decided I wasn't going to watch the bowl game but it's kinda like a car accident...I know I'll be curious to see a few plays....

lol, before the season began i said we would lose 4 games..... again. Sadly I think i was right. It will be worse thant he Wisky game..... i dont think i can watch it.
