  1. It's such a strange feeling to be trying to figure out which prospects the staff wants to take, instead of praying for a select handful to commit like we have the past few years.

  2. Here is something to ponder. Can we just take a second and think about how good a job this staff is doing. We have a QB coach who is recruiting a QB every cycle not once in a while. A running backs coach who will take one or two a cycle and then recruit other positions. And Frost and his staff have more than doubled the wide receiver room scholarship numbers, all in a month and a half. Clearly this staff has its priorities straight compared to the last staff. I am seriously blown away at this point, put star rankings aside, they are getting athletes here that will fit their system and help the team win. Frost and staff are really getting guys to buy in that will help the overall success of the team.

  3. No disrespect, but I've never seen an easier 5 to replace going into next season.

  4. #1 offensive player on our board, that's a fact. Really likes Frost and the loyalty he showed at UCF. We are set on him playing RB while others see him as an ATH. OhioSt will make a run. I got a feeling we win out. Announcing NSD on ESPN.

  5. Wait...a baby is allowed to be born in the 9th month?? What is this, Russia? Why are we allowing this?? Those stupid liberal states. We need to fix this NOW. No more births from the womb in the 9th month.

  7. So...let me get this straight. The "Law and order President" that demands that we tighten immigration to keep criminals out of the country......hires and puts in the Whitehouse an immigrant that has warrants out for his arrest in other countries. Oh....you just can't make this stuff up.

  13. Well with Ohio St only having 2 spots left there's a solid chance we get one of JJB or Maurice Washington.. They are pursuing 2 OT's hard (high rated 4 and 5*), Christopher Oats (4* OLB), Washington, JJB and a 3 star WR... With OT as a top priority let's hope they get one of the 2. Then they have 1 spot for the rest so we could get 1 of the 2 or both if they take Oats and an OT... Fingers crossed for our sake.

  14. Mitch McConnell is literally, blatantly, holding children hostage. This is from his own twitter account! And love this response from the Oregon Senator: Republicans, is this really what you want to do? Baldly hold children hostage to screw over immigrants?

  15. I want him to stay to see how he develops, but he 100% should have redshirted last year. Always seemed tentative with the rock

  16. There are at least 2 teams behind us that will probably pass us once they fill up: 30 Texas A&M (14 commits) 38 UCLA (12 commits)

  17. I have always been fascinated with the Unitarian Universalist Church, but have not researched it fully. This is how I understand it: There are Unitarian Christians (believe in one god, not the trinity), Universalist Christians (believe in non-exclusive salvation, all humans will reunite with God after death, no hell), and then there is the Unitarian Universalist Church (open to diverse belief systems and religious traditions). While I will probably always stay ELCA Lutheran, I like the idea that people in other religions shouldn't be condemned to hell just for existing in a different culture with a different religion. Forced conversion doesn't seem to jive with Jesus's message to me. The UU church will probably always interest me, but is too far outside my comfort zone. I can believe what I want to believe, though, regardless of church affiliation.

  18. Tanner Lee on the list is almost meta. He wouldn't be on the list if we weren't getting a new coaching staff. This year is more about getting the returning players to adjust to a new system than replacing players from the old system anyway.

  29. Legs matter. Arms matter. Athletic ability matters. Bellies don't matter much. Just look at our two current starting All-American tackles: Here's one with a belly: (Orlando Brown, Oklahoma) Here's one without: (Mike McGlinchey, Notre Dame)

  30. We are up to the 6th ranked recruiting class in the BIG (29th overall), with 7 four stars. I expect this to improve as we will get more than our share of players for the remaining of this recruiting period. I expect the returning players to be better, and I expect to see many new starters, including many of this year's recruits.

  32. To some extent, POTUS should lead by example, and that includes marital relationships and health. He is fat, has diagnosed heart disease with very high cholesterol, doesn't exercise, and doesn't eat well. He has cheated on every wife he has ever had, brags about it, cheats on pregnant and/or new mother of his child with a porn star, and pays said mistresses off. I think it all kind of goes into the bucket that shows Donald Trump is a POS.

  35. You remember that Gates had an ankle injury during the last part of the 2016 season, right? But we didn't have anyone behind him that was better, injury and all. So he played injured. And that clip shows All American DE Derek Barnett going up against redshirt sophomore Nick Gates. Barnett went 14th overall in the first round of the NFL draft a couple months later. What exactly would you expect out of that situation? Or are you just parroting the point of that douchenozzle Cole Cubelic in his Tweet with Barnett v. Gates?

  36. This is nothing more than conjecture. You're trying to correlate the look of one player to another and then draw shaky conclusions between the two. People are built differently even when they're the exact same height. If you want to criticize a linemen's strength and fitness, find his measurable stats and have it. This thread is full of some pretty asinine hot takes right now.

  37. How could they possibly not have Nick Gates on that list? Am I missing something? I'd say: Joshua Kalu Nick Gates Chris Weber Chris Jones Drew Brown Nothing against Tanner Lee. I just don't think we'll miss leading the nation in pick sixes.

  39. Well we can't see their chests and their arms, again, look fairly par for the course to me. If we're going to judge someone's strength, particularly on the o-line, we should judge it by measurable statistics. I maintain I don't see a big difference between that photo and this one.
