My problem with grocery stores' "8 Item or less" line is they never enforce them. This morning I went to store to pick up milk and Pop Tarts. I should have been in and out in about five minutes. But the guy right in front of me in the "8 Item or less" line had 20 items. 20! I counted. And then he got out coupons. All the while the rotund, elderly checkout woman is just chatting away with him. Good grief, if they're gonna let people like that in the "8 Item or less" line, why even bother? It'll be a long time before I go back to that grocery store. /shakes head

I also think it would be very tough to stop TM if he had not been injured. In those runs, he is pulling away from everyone. I wonder what his true 40 time was. If TM was not injured, I think the Huskers get a conference championship or two, and Bo may still be our coach.

My problem is: With people who discard their cigarette butts out car windows, along side walks - often times still burning. With people behind me in an airplane who think if they grab their bag fast they can rush down the aisle in front of the passengers seated in front of them. With people who take their children/retired friends/rare travellers through the TSA PreCheck. With people who park and take up more than one spot because they have a "nice car" and don't want it dinged. With people who write checks or dig in their pockets/purses for coins for exact change. With people who don't pull up to the first gas pump at the station and block both pumps. With people who don't even attempt to pretend that they are washing their hands in public bathrooms. With people who stand too close to me, especially in lines.

I know it is early, but it gives us plenty of time to hash out the details as to when we should have the draft, and what type of draft to have. I believe we all are fine with the ESPN fantasy league. So, let's debate whether to do a snake draft or an auction. I would like to try the auction because I haven't done one before, but if you want to do the standard draft I am fine with that. We could have @Mavric decide when is the right time frame to have the draft and figure it out from there. Let me know what you guys think. This should be fun.

I follow Allyne Hane (The Lawn Care Nut) on YouTube and Twitter for lawn tips and this is after my first mow of the season after throwing down some Milorganite and lawn starter. I did throw down some tall turf fescue within the yard and in some bare spots. After a week I haven’t seen any grass growing but that’s normal should see some/ little results by week 2. I used the toro lawn striper today and made some double wide stripes

Don't blame cashiers for letting people go through with too many items. As a former cashier, there are so many a-hole customers and cashiers aren't allowed to tell them not to do anything.

I was talking to a buddy of mine who coaches college for one of the better Dakotas and the first words out of his mouth was how much he hated Scott frost. He was joking, kind of. Frost is putting the heat on those programs it is a much more difficult decision to go schollie or walk on at Nebraska.

I assume he wasn't exactly in the mix for QB at SDSU? I love this concept. Former Nebraska HS player walks on as a punter and played QB, makes me think we could see some fake punt plays incorporated.

Another thought: If fan expectations bother you, there are plenty of schools you can play for that don't have them. If Lee didn't want to be at a place that has them, he could have stayed at Tulane. I don't see how recruits can visit here (where recruits have said fans already know their names) or know anything about the school and not realize this might happen. Especially as a QB.

Once we stop hyping players up, it means the fanbase has stopped caring.

I wish Nebraska would keep grass on the practice fields and go back to natural grass inside the stadium. Football should be played on grass.
