He cleans house and keeps doing things his way. If we look like this years 3 and 4 we can talk about scheme changes. Until then you’re just being unfair.12 points

Back to Lincoln, back to work. Improvement every day, tune the more toxic of the media and fans out.8 points

Here’s pretty much my thought on guys that are willing to leave the team because frost is head coach and Riley isn’t.... f#&% EM.7 points

Alright folks, I am as disappointed as anyone else here. I didn’t see us starting 0 and 3 and losing like this. It goes to show you that many players have not embraced Frost’s system as much as we thought. The culture will be harder to change as we hoped. And the talent is not there yet for Frost’s system. But for anyone — I know you true fans don’t feel this way — who wants to throw Frost under the bus, this is only his third game — I would be much more concern if this was his third year like Riley. Who else would we get as a coach? If Frost can’t succeed, no one else likely will here. This is is going to be a more of a difficult transition than we thought. Frost needs to continue to recruit the right talent who can embrace his system and the new culture. There are some newcomers on the team who perhaps fully embrace what Frost is doing, but they are inexperienced and we have to be patient with them. I still have confidence that Frost will turn this around, but it may take three to four years to see it fully happen. Let’s not give up on him after three games. Let’s look at the long term.5 points

People mistake my comments as negativity. I’m just objective. These coaches talked so much trash about the previous staff and haven’t shown a thing to back it up.5 points

Gonna need a good sense of humor and quite a bit of booze to get through 2018.5 points

In terms of Gebbia transferring, I think he just wanted to go play on a team with a better offensive line.5 points
-
Why in the actual F would he change his schemes after 3 games in year one with a freshman quarterback and a walk on backup with 50 players that werent on the team last year. Are you actually being serious?5 points

Stay the course. It will get better in time. Or it won't. In which case we just finally admit we're Minnesota. I just can't imagine Nebraska luring a better coach to Lincoln.5 points
-
People who say his scheme needs to change really needs to pay attention to the games. There are receivers who are open on the designed play calls. Don't be ignorant and blame the scheme because you love running the ball 75% of the time.5 points

It's mostly the same group of players (specifically) offensive lineman that make the offense go. These guys have never been good.5 points
-
Explain it however you want, but I've never seen a worse first half of Nebraska football.5 points
-
I’m sorry but that is 100% on lindsey...: no coaching is going to make up for a complete brainless move like trying to field that punt off a bounce.5 points

Yeah, I've changed my tune based on what I have seen, so f'ing what? That's what people who think one way, get proved wrong, and reassess the situation do. I'm not here to question anyone's fandom, but you're starting to come across more as gloater who is relishing these losses. Makes me think that maybe your motives aren't in seeing the team get better.4 points

I wish some fans would learn that wanting NU to play disciplined, competent football and expecting Frost to have instant success aren’t the same thing.4 points

Penn State got drilled by Michigan in 2016, before winning the conference. Not that I expect that turnaround this year, but just showing that it can happen. Remember, this is a team that was getting crushed by bad teams late last year, including giving up 54 to a Minnesota team that was shut out their last two games. Look at the narrative among the media. They're throwing Taggart, Kelly, and Sumlin under the bus for terrible starts, but not Frost. Why? Because they have more faith in him that some of our own fans, and see the long game.4 points

I learned to remember that Frost *IS* only a third year head coach, and he still has things to learn. He's not overrated, as it has been alluded to, but he is still relatively green. Frost will get this ship righted, but it will take all of the following: Patience Time Roster attrition A couple of recruiting classes More patience More time No, really, more patience than that A metric s***ton of alcohol A new liver4 points

To quote a wise man, “Its a long way to the top of you want to rock and roll.” There’s a lot to fix, and a mentality to get right. The season is far from over, let’s see where we are after thanksgiving.4 points

The damage done by Mike Riley is worse than I thought. This is going to take all of Frosts contract and then some to undo that f@cksticks disaster.4 points

Too bad I took my family to get Frosty's the night Frost was named the head coach. Back to DQ it seems.4 points

No. No we weren't. If not for our true freshman QB getting hurt we most likely win against Colorado and Troy. That gets us to half of our win total. This is a really good Michigan team.4 points

doesn't make a lot of difference what play is called when your line is totally out matched4 points

I thought Frost would have done more to fix this crap. This is a poorly coached team, making way too many stupid mistakes.4 points

I knew this thread was coming eventually as soon as I saw Adrian and Andrew slightly smiling on the sideline in the fourth quarter. Really hurts man. They have no business smiling while playing the game they love. So disappointing to see smiling faces like that.3 points

I want to correct you on one thing. We ARE 0-3 because of a thunderstorm. Because without that, we might be 0-4 right now.3 points

Why are we arguing against hypothetical people? Is there anyone here who wants to throw Frost under the bus? Has anyone outed themselves as having that opinion? If not, no need to make a thread preemptively telling these imaginary people that their imaginary beliefs are wrong in an effort to keep everyone level headed when nobody wasn't to begin with.3 points

Considering they are #2 and gaining on McDonald's, I'd say a whole hell of a lot of people do. Also, their twitter is kind of famous for being edgy and hilarious.3 points

When the announcer even states there a "couple" players still playing, you know you have a team of quitters that should be sitting firmly on the bench or off the team.3 points

Every scheme requires blocking. Last year our guys couldn't block even with a different system. Frost just needs to get his guys and we will be fine.3 points
-
I still have Frostys back and we all knew this was going take some time BUT ffs, I didn't think it would be this bad.3 points
-
So which is it--is Frost overrated, or is he going to be successful? Talking out of both sides of your mouth is never a good look for anyone.3 points
