  1. How about we see him coach a game at Nebraska first???
  2. Congrats to Maurice, didn't think he would actually ever get to NU. Good on the young man. But, those of you expecting him to get snaps and be a stud right away, slow your roll. Remember his teammates went through an entire summer of lifting and conditioning with Duval and Co., and while I'm sure he wasn't sitting on the couch eating potato chips, he isn't nearly as in shape as the other RB's in the program already. IMO, he needs to redshirt. Not only for the reason stated above, but to make sure he keeps up on his academics this 1st semester. We've seen that he had trouble with that at the high school level, and it won't get any easier when he gets to Lincoln. Maybe they use the 4 game redshirt rule and let him play at the end of the year, but I think that's all they should put on him IMO.
  3. Big time failure by the staff not bringing in another Tackle last class. They had to know academics would be an issue for Canty and still failed to find somebody else to bring in. Austin needs to step up big time this cycle and find some quality OT's.
  4. Ok except most of their big ones were non-commitable...
  5. Not much different than the rest of our commits....(sans Thompkins)
  6. Noooooo c'mon man, you really didn't just use an Eric in Scottsdale tweet and think it's factual did you? That guy is the biggest jackwagon on Twitter. He makes up stuff, claims he has "sources" and is always wrong.
  7. A - Justin Thomas B - Rickie Fowler C - Matt Kuchar D - Daniel Berger
  8. I have never seen a major college football player with arms so undefined. It looks like he has never been in a weight room. weanie arms, wow, hit the bench dude, my daughter could whip your ass. I'm sure getting sick and losing weight after getting sick due to complications from appendicitis has nothing to do with that.....
  9. For those who are complaining about the red socks. At least in the mock up it appears the guy is wearing red compression tights and then white socks. So I think they're not necessarily going to be wearing socks where they are red on the top/white on the bottom. The socks are white mid-calves.
  10. Sneds withdrew Thanks for the heads up!
  11. A: Sergio Garcia B: Hideki Matsuyama C: Matt Kuchar D: Zach Johnson
  12. Whats Tom Rathman doing? Not coming back to Nebraska..Like...........Ever!? To coach
  13. Whats Tom Rathman doing? Not coming back to Nebraska..
  14. So when this kid continues to blow up and gets bigger and bigger offers, is the Cav can't recruit (or coach) discussion going to continue? Look, OL and DL are the absolute toughest positions to recruit. Especially on the OL, besides maybe the few top guys in the country it is an absolute crapshoot on projecting how a kid is going to develop. Coaches are going to have their own criteria on what they are looking for when they watch film. You take a look at a kid like Beresford, he definitely has the frame and athleticism that you want to see in an OT. 2017 is going to be a big year for Cav and the O-Line, no doubt about that. I'm willing to take the wait and see approach now that he has multiple upperclassmen with experience. He's had 3 years with Gates, Foster, Farmer, Knevel and it's time that they show something.
  15. Well I guess Riley should just go ahead and rescind the offer....
  16. A: Jason Day B: Brooks Koepka C: Martin Kaymer D: Thomas Pieters
  17. Welp considering it's been said many times (by Mike Riley too) that WRs and CBs were going to be the focus of this class, and they can take multiple guys at those positions, it's not completely surprising that those two spots have filled up first. I don't think it's a matter of the other coaches "stepping up", but we have to be pretty choosy with who we take at OL, DL, and LB. Also it's only May and 70% of our class is filled, the coaches have some time to "step up".
  18. Or.....they see him as a Nebraska kid that proved early on in the recruiting process that he has enough skill/potential to warrant a scholarship offer (as did Iowa, UCLA and others), so they accepted his verbal commitment. And despite some potential academic troubles, they aren't going to have a knee-jerk reaction and take away his scholarship offer in hopes that another prospect (Avery, Thompson, Trout, or whoever else you perceive as being better) is going to commit and be a guarantee to sign in December or February. All while not wanting to jeopardize the relationships with Nebraska high school coaches that they've tried to continue to improve and build off of. You want to blame someone for this, blame Bo and his sh#tty roster management that has put us in a position where we can only take 15-18 in this class.
