  1. I am very glad to have this kid. He seems like a very genuine and humble dude. Plus, he is a beast. I hope to see more of him next year.
  2. Thanks, seniors! You took a huge chance. You came to play for a team that had previously been beaten to it's knees. You put your trust in a head coach who had only 1 game of head coaching experience in his career. In turn, he also put his trust in your hands and helped you to become the men that you are today. Sure, we all wish this season's conference season ended a little bit differently. Sure, the fans are a little bit disappointed. However, don't mistake that disappointment in the result of this season as disappointment in you guys. We are all very proud to call you Huskers now and in the future.
  3. Not going 100% by trying to get in front of him and wall him off could have easily been an uglier hit and more dangerous.
  4. I hate Iowa. I hate the state of Iowa. Just absolutely hate it. I was jumped in Ames during our last year in the BigXII. Just a bitter taste. I also hate Michigan. We shared championships when I was too young to understand sharing.
  5. That stupid Pontoon song. I absolutely hate it, yet it is always stuck in my head.
  6. I just finished reading Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. Pretty interesting/entertaining book.
  7. Hey y'all. I am new here so I thought I would say hello. I hail from Lincoln, NE but will soon be moving to the big city, Omaha, for my career. I hope to provide a little insight and humor. I am a bit of a sunshine-pumper and a heavy kool-aid drinker. 1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? 25 years. 2) What/who led you to The Nation? I was born into Husker Nation. My Mom threatened to put me up for adoption if I ever cheered against the Huskers. I haven't tested her threat and I don't plan to. 3) Where are you from originally? The Lincoln area. 4) Where do you live now? Right outside of Lincoln. 5) Favorite Husker memory? Watching Nebraska win the 1994 championship. One of my first memories. 6) Worst Husker memory? I can't remember what year, but it was the year that Texas beat us in Lincoln when it was absolutely freezing and snowing. 7) Number of home games attended? Probably somewhere in the 50 range 8) Number of away games attended? 5 or so. 9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? 1994 Championship Wheaties box signed by a lot of the team or my Brook Berringer jersey that I nearly lost when I broke up with an ex-gf. 10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) South Stadium 11) Favorite all time player? Brook Berringer and no one else even comes close. 12) WCO or Option? Option 13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Dollar Bill 14) Lil Red or Herbie Husker? Old school Herbie 15) Favorite Husker play? Fullback trap 16) Favorite game-day beverage? Busch Light 17) How did you find HuskerBoard? (referral source) I follow all of the boards but Husker Board seemed a bit more relaxed and fun.
  8. If it puts butts in the seats, I am all for it. I just don't want to hear "I told you so" when the attendance numbers for bball games are low at the new arena. Heck, sell whatever you can to get butts in the seats. The people that attend may actually enjoy Nebrasketball.
  9. I am still scratching my head at that hire in the first place. Yes, I know he won a natty, but my goodness I never saw anything special when he was at ISU.
  10. Really the only Big 12/8 team that I find myself rooting for is Okie State. I find myself cheering against most of those teams, especially Mizzou and KState.
  11. I thought it was awkward. I wasn't paying too much attention and when I looked up, I saw Tressel. A little weird, but at the same time they were honoring the 2002 team.
  12. I would prefer Stanford. A new opponent. We can get revenge next year when we play UCLA again.
  13. Martin. Vandenberg will not go to bed tonight without checking his closet for #46. Way to go, Caveman!
