Tommy is the present and future. What I saw was our Offensive and Defensive line loose the battle up front all game. Hard to win a game that way. Tommy played hard all game. He had a lot less time in the pocket then Kaaya and still made some great plays. Was he perfect? No. If our D would have been able to get as much pressure on Kaaya as Miami had on Tommy, we would have won this game. I would love to see us run more however I'm not sure we got the offensive line to create the needed holes. Last year Ameer made so many Defensive players miss in the backfield then turn up field through a nonexistent hole and get yards. Newby doesn't have the same skill set but he is faster.

Not sure how many of you watched this game but I found the officiating horrible. During the first half Nebraska had over 10 fouls compared to Hawaii’s ZERO fouls. I remember a play where our guy is going up for a lay up and a Rainbow Warrior runs below him and draws a charge. The replay showed that the Rainbow Warrior was still sliding when contact was made… Sadler getting tossed was great to see. A coach who is vocal and willing to stick up for his team is a nice change. This team does indeed have a long way to go before they will be good. The nice part to see is that this coaching staff is helping these players develop and they have the capabilities to recruit solid players. Anderson is a legit scorer and will be very fun to watch for 3 more years. With the class that is coming in this next year, the future looks bright. Let’s hope some how Maric will stay around for his senior year. -Pile

What I loved the most about Herbstriets statements during this show was how he was /drooling over 2001 Miami. When he started talking about all the first round picks from that team all I could think of how many Nebraska had. Did Miami have more success in the draft? Im sure they did. Does that mean that they had more players from the 2001 team make the NFL? Hell no. That 1995 team had so many players that made the NFL. If anyone is more sober then myself and more motivated, please find out which team did have more players join the NFL and the margin. Sure would be interesting to know. Lastly, watching Herbstreit and May /cry about these two Skers teams make the finals just is the cherry on top for me. For years these two have been biased against the Huskers. Maybe this will be the history lesson they need. Just cause it was the Big 8, it does not mean we did not play quality football. Look at how many Big 8 teams were ranked in 1995. Oregon loss was hard for me to swallow. The refs were horrible for both teams which always makes it even harder to take. I remember at one point NU had 8 team fouls compaired with 2 for the Ducks. Jason Velander (sp) is a very bright spot. With sore shoulder and all, he was hitting everything within 25 feet. Maric played well, the early 2 fouls really hurt us. When he was in the game for the first 5 minutes we were able to build a 8 point lead. Richardson also had a solid game. I have seen better out of him, but he still had several nice passes and played great D. The only concerns I do have from this game are the academic status of Jammel White and the lack of production from Sek Henry. I am not sure if Henry is hurt or not but he rarely played and when he was in the game was not his usual self. White's academic problems should probably be more of a concern but the lack of effort on Offense from him has been disappointing for me this year. If he would have a quicker trigger on trying to knock down shots or drive to the hope, his loss would be much bigger. Just my 2 cents! -Pile

I think the real question that should be asked in this thread is why does anyone care what a creightonjay fan who cheers for michigan has to say? So you cheer for Creighton's basketball and baseball team. Thats good! But why do you need to be on a nebraska msg board telling acutal Nebraska fans that their opinions are wrong? We all know Omaho (spelled that way intentionally) is fantastic and has a much more active social life then Lincoln... blah blah blah... but could you not find the single creighton blue jay website or one of the many Michigan? Nothing annoys me more then hearing these patheic blue jay fans cheer for their baseball and basketball teams to beat UNL then turn around and cheer for UNL football. PICK A TEAM AND STICK WITH IT! And you do have a college football team in Omaho, its called the Mavericks.
