  1. " what he has done is mixed the Oregon offense with the Nebraska strength and conditioning program" LOVE THIS
  2. Zach Duval was the Nebraska Football Strength Coach from 97-02; so he was under Boyd Epley. Here's a link to a good article on him, and what his players at UCF accomplished in the weight room. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/ucf-knights/os-sp-ucf-strength-and-conditioning-0804-story.html
  3. SF is by no means required to ever answer any of their questions or give interviews to them again; seeing that he will hopefully be here for 20 years - that would be an awfully long time to attend press conferences knowing he will not acknowledge you
  4. Going to the Peach Bowl in Husker gear would be a slap in the face to any UCF fans; don't do it. Support Frost and UCF by cheering them on; knowing we got our guy.
  5. Pretty bold prediction seeing that Riley just took over a few days ago.
  6. When I read Perlman's statement, I immediately thought he meant he didn't make a formal written offer to anyone else. This doesn't mean they weren't in discussions, or even had made a verbal offer to anyone else.
  7. From Mike Riley's wikipedia page - On December 4, 2014, Riley was named head coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. As a former Idahoan, he has always hated corn and loved potatoes.
  8. I don't think that was a catchable ball, and the flag should've been picked up. Still doesn't excuse the swinging of the hat. The ref that he swung his hat at, was that even the ref that made the call, or the head ref?
  9. Wasn't Pelini previously put on some sort of probation for his behavior? If so, I would've expected the school/AD to have done the same or more. I didn't read anywhere that they made him issue that apology statement, and even if they did that's taking less action - not more. I'm at work so have very limited access to any sports-related websites and can't look this up.
  10. Isn't this the incident that Pelini's apology and Eichorst's statement was all about? The reprimand was by the conference; not the school.
  11. Kinda sad IMHO that the conference took action without the school doing so first.
  12. First post, life-long Husker fan. Up until yesterday, I was a Bo supporter - loved his fire and enthusiasm - but yesterday was just too much. At this point, the injuries, record, conference championship games and bowl records do not matter to me. Our head coach almost hit the ref with his hat, then calls it a chicken-sh*t call in the post game presser?!? I didn't realize until then he was delusional. "It was a chicken-sh*t call" - No, it wasn't; and I wouldn't have argued if they would've thrown you out of the game. "I've done worse" - No, you haven't. You might have said worse, but you came within inches of hitting the ref with your hat. "I saw Kirk Ferentz over on the other side acting a lot worse than I act" - No, he didn't almost hit the ref with his hat. Yesterday was the final straw for me, to be completely unapologetic and defend his behavior is not what I want in a HC. Time to cut ties, and start looking.
