  1. That once again the QB run is more important this year than any of the past 20 years or so. It's common sense and one of those things I figured Frost was bringing to the table. I hope he figures it out soon.
  2. We couldn't get anyone in the backfield..need. pass rusher bad of blitz more often if going to get picked apart anyway.
  3. Oh..our QBs will unfortunately have more risk of injury but it seems that the QB run game is the only thing that's worked at NU over the years consistently. It's a staple of Frost's offense but now it's a major necessity.
  4. Here's my strategy moving forward..(2 weeks in the making lol) OFFENSIVELY - I say we run the QB at least once every 4 downs. Whether it be designed or scramble. I'm not looking for the big play which is always nice, but we need the threat to open other running plays and passing. I feel we should sell out to this for 2 years or so as I think this simple wrinkle would've probably won us a couple more games and we saw how effective the QB run was this last weekend. Without doing that we are not strong enough in any area offensively to do what we want run/pass. Yes this will put QBs at more risk but it seems this staff can spot talent in that area as for backups. After a couple years of selling out this I'd assume we would win 8-10 games and would give time to recruit and develop our lines and really all around. Therefore wouldnt have to rely so much on having the QB be a RB essentially. DEFENSIVELY- will keep it short, I actually dont think were too far off. We got outcoached this last game and out played vs Minny. We simply have to blitz more often and not let opposing QBs look like Manning. Eventually we will have a nice pass rusher. Scheme wise I think were fine. SP Teams - magic fairy dust until the nightmare is over!
  5. Look at the bright side, soon we will be hanging 50+ on everybody! It’s going to be a shock for us fans to see what an actual offense is supposed to do. Woot woot!
  6. Best stat/quote I’ve heard from chinander “80% of drives end with no points if there was a sack/negative play”. It’s been awhile since I read that but that was the gist of it. My take is we will find balance some plays will slip but we will create plenty of disruption too. The main difference is we will have an offense that can take advantage of that for once!
  7. I freaked out when Bo was fired, freaked out even more when Riley was hired, yet somehow we landed Frost and all is better now!
  8. Year one - 8+ wins Year two and onward - win the west division 75%+ Beyond - win B1G championship 25% +
  9. None of those sound like they have an identity. Frost’s offense has a few base plays that’ll be mastered then plays that work off of those = identity =FINALLY!!
  10. Think his offense is based off a few key plays, inside, outside zone read, power run, triple option. They will probably master those first and will build off of them. Finally an offense that makes sense! Woot!!
  11. Like another poster said...if it were me then yes I would’ve built the offense up first like UCF then start working on the defense. They only had 2 years. You gotta be great at at least one thing then the rest will continue to build and evolve. I think he will do the same here. I also think it’s the best way to do it in the big 10, we might just be able to outscore a lot of our opponents even with their good defense. Fingers crossed! (End run on paragraph)
  12. If he stays then great, I’m sure he will fight for the starting position. Hopefully the new coaching staff knows how to use his skill set properly. Not sure why everyone thinks he will be benched. Possibly the best passer on the team.
  13. They gunna need to run, run, and run some more this off season!! Can’t wait to see what the offense look like Woot!!
