  1. 1) David Shaw-Stanford 2) Gary Patterson-TCU 3) Jim Mora Jr.-UCLA 4) Jerry Kill-Minnesota Don't really know what their buyouts are, just a wishlist.
  2. You turn the ball over more than your opponent, you typically lose. Nuff said.
  3. "Jason Ankrah. They are really high on him. They are looking to him as a future leader on this defense." Nice observation Chuck Long...he's a Senior halfway through the season! What an idiot!
  4. Did the NCAA rules once again change as far as roughing the Quarterback? That penalty on the high sack on Brett Smith yesterday, in prior years, is a completely legal tackle. It was closest to being a horsecollar, yet it wasn't. Can anyonoe enlighten me on this? Or was it simply a case for a first game, small conference Referee seeing a tackle that "looks like" it could hurt a player, and calling it a personal foul?
  5. To allow essentially a middle screen to go for a 70 yard touchdown on 3rd and 11 is inexcusable. Once again, completely out coached coming out of halftime seemed to be the norm for our coaching staff.
  6. Eric Crouch's 97 yard run against Mizzou, Taylor's run against Wisconsin, then Tommie's run against Florida. The Top Three!
  7. Bad feeling about this game. Somehow the rematch with Washington in the Holiday Bowl keeps springing to mind. Hope not.
  8. Not that I give a crap, but should Notre Dame really be playing in the National Championship Game, playing 1 less game than the other BCS schools having to gain entrance after a league championship game? Or does their supposed strength of schedule counter that?
  9. As I have said on other occasions, only a few of the 'great' Huskers are beloved. Rex, you are in that pantheon.
  10. While watching Monday Night Football, they were saying that Kapernick ran for 4,000 yards and threw for 7,000 in his career at Nevada. The only Division 1 quarterback to ever accomplish the feat. The stats you gave are for season, or career?
  11. I was just curious what ramifications were involved with bad reviews. To me, it seems as though the game has become too fast for some of these guys.
  12. Does anyone know the process for referee review or assessment in the Big 10 Conference? Just curious as to how they are graded by the conference, and who is involved with the assessment? Is it per game? Do the coaches assess? Are there penalties involved with poor performances or blown calls? I understand that we are dealing with human beings here, just wondering about how their product is graded, and in some cases, asked to leave or receive instruction on how to call a game. Thanks!
  13. Oh, and another thing, if ESPN or ABC go to the National Roller Skating Museum again, I'm gonna puke!
  14. Yeah, Beth Mowins needs to stick to calling womens sporting events...just saying. I watched the majority of the game on "mute", just like last week.
  15. You know, this was a wierd one. The ESPN coverage showed the play from 2 angles. The one showed the ball extremely close to his foot, but the other angle, with the shdows of the ball falling and hitting the turf, showed it at least a foot away. The replay Ref in his haste to make a call, I am sure did not look at it as close as your average Husker Fan. Hence, a blown replay call.
