  1. I couldn't agree more. Solich has alot of Class to even not lower himself to Pederson's level.
  2. 1st Game at Memorial Stadium I've never actually been there for a game, sure as heck want to though, if I can, I would love to take my family to the Red/White game if finances and my Mid Tour leave from Iraq will work out. The closest I ever came to it was flying around the Stadium twice in a connection flight during the sCUm game in 1994, during the 1st quarter. It was tied during the 1st, and I didn't hear anything else till I landed in N. Platte and we had started pulling away from them, if I remember it was 28-7 when I landed. I'd dealt with haters of the Big Red Machine all through Basic Training, the whole time telling people that we were gonna go the whole way. Best Moment Screaming and shouting in the dayroom as a PVT in Korea whatching Schlesenger ( I know I butchered his name) run those 2 TDs in the 4th Quarter after hearing everyone there tell me that NU was through that game after UM got up on us. Best Game Would be a toss-up, between the 94 and 95 championships. I know I have yet to exsperience an actual game in that Sacred Stadium, but it doesn't mean I don't feel a connection to it that every husker fan does.
  3. Yeah, it would be awesome to get this guy. Hope he is a good student too, be great to be able to do some Option in the Future, since our back-up QB for Gantz got run down by cops. I guess we'll be seeing Where Bo want's to go during the Red/White Game, in 2 months.
  4. Sorry if I made a mistake on my 3rd every post here, lol. I wasn't trying to be an :asshat . I just want it were I can wear my Big red stuff with the pride I have in being from Nebraska without people thinking that I'm living in the past and that we are a joke now. I felt like this the last year. Well, enough of me on my . If time permits between risking my neck in Bahgdad, will reread the forum rules, I appoligize for my ignorance. But Go Big Red!
  5. Well, I will put my name on this bandwagon early on, cause this makes sense. I haven't been able to watch the NU Games like I'd like to, but whenever possible I was listening to them over the internet, aka, right now I am in Iraq, so hard to see the games. I was only able to watch 2 games this year and one was Wake Forest and the CU game. As far as I am concerned, the new, Coach, whomever he maybe, needs to do two things first and formost:1st/ bring back that fire on the Defense that hasn't been truely lit since Solich left with Bo on D. :2nd/ Get NU rolling people over like they used too, I don't care what other people say, you have a QB that can throw the ball, but he better be able to run that ball in a run game (Gantz). They kid me about how NU used to be 3yards and a cloud of dust, but you know what, those three yards, you do that often enough, you will move down the field and score. That also keeps your defense off the field and were they belong, cheering on the Offense as it tears down the Opponents Defense. I just wish that Pederson had half a brain and not fired Solich, Lord was a decent QB, but he wasn't an able enough passer to make the defense honest, Gantz has proven that with a decent Defense that he could beat people with his arm, now imagine if we could get that ole Offensive line rolling like it used to, almost makes me want to spend my very hard earned dollars to go get some tickets for next year, depending on how they set-up the offense, which we'll know by the Red/White Game. If that happed, I think we'd almost be there. GO, BIG RED
  6. Ty, for the show of support, I was talking with a couple of guys here, and came up with the same conclusion. Although, I think my wife will have a not hard time, but not easy to do for her. I've always been the one to set-up the entertainment center. I'll have her try it and see if she can get it to work, lol. All I wanna see this year is the....
  7. I'm in Iraq right now, and was wondering if there is a simple way for my wife to take if she records a game from TV to transfer it to DVD so I can watch it over here? I have a laptop. I'll be as much as possible listening to them online through Husker Radio Network, but it's still not the same as watching them. I know theres more of you out there who think the same way. I grew up listening to Radio games from when I was little, but would love to be able to watch more than one like lasttime I was over here(watched us beat UM, whoot). So if anyone knows of an easy way for my wife to do that, please leave a reply. Depending my take me a bit to get back to this, those of you over here know the deal.
