It's the truth. Back in the championship days the defense won games when the offense needed. Like beating K-state 17-6 with Matt Turman. Don't let Wisconsin score a TD in the 3rd and win the game. Iowa wins ugly games using their defense, not making excuses about getting tired or something. The Defense is much better then they have been and kept us in games. They also haven't won any. Lije stopping Maryland's last drive.

How many long 3rd downs did they give up? I saw 2 in OT. Definitely got trucked by Michigan. Like Pelini getting Wisconsined. They talked about that game several times tonight.

Do you follow the team. Even the announcers knew he's been injured.

I will admit Rhule sucks at time management. Feel bad for our Freshman kicker. Tons of pressure. But remember if we turn it over tossing it in the enzone everyone is mad too. I remember a pick by Purdy last week when everyone said kick it.

If most people think the Defense is sucking because of the OC then the board is not worth it. Our old school Defense would have taken a 14 point lead and won the game. So if they want off the field, 3 and out the other team and stop making excuses.

You know you can put people on ignore? I'm starting to do it to anyone who only analysis of the game is fire the OC. Even when the team is on Defense.

All of our scoring has been on 55 yard plus plays. May as well throw it downfield and take a shot.

This team is better than they were last year. We lost 2 games by 3 because of 5 turnovers in those games. Another by 3 with 2 turnovers in the 4th quarter. Any QB play like this in the year and they are already bowl eligible. If they win/lose and get to a toilet bowl or not won't change the fact this team is getting better already and will have a full year of recruiting for next year. The transfer portal can change an offense in a heartbeat. We are looking at the past rather than looking forward. Frost isn't here anymore and Rhule has already won more games in a season.

From what I saw we had one Rushing TD one Passing TD. I say we do that every quarter and call it a game.

The QBs aren't seeing the field Purdy saw red open and nothing else in front of him. The play call wasn't good. Should have been tight end back of the end zone or run. But these QBs are like deer in headlights throwing and when they run they fumble too. There are freshmen on other teams that play like this in games 1-3, then wake up and play way better. Why can't they? Our offense is so basic but they fumble instead of toss interceptions if all we do is run. Same turnover result.

There are only 3 big boys right now. USC and UCLA haven't seen a semblance of defense this year. I doubt they get the chance to put up 45 a game hoping to win.

I put it at 50% now. It would be fun to bet Iowa like last year and knock them out of the conference championship game. Bowl games are a feel good/means nothing thing. There are so many mediocre teams in bowls. If the Huskers make one they will be another. The NCAA should let all teams, regardless of record, practice until the start of the playoffs if they want.

Watching Wisconsin and Iowa today gives me hope. This division is a mess. A couple of players here and there on offense (or only 2-3 turnovers a game) with this Defense and the team loses to Michigan so far. Maybe Colorado. I'll take the better defense and hope to get to 6 wins. Wiscy is down 24-3 to Northwestern at half, Iowa got a FG so they are close to their average ppg. Every just hired coach coming into a losing program is tossing a team together in a rush and patching gaps. If this Defense gets better next year and the offense can gain recruits, we'll jump off the bottom of the conference quickly.

I like how everyone wants to keep spending millions of other people's money. How about pay coaches a resonable base and more for more wins. We still paying Pelini?

So we get 3 and lose by 4. It's not like Maryland didn't drive 75 yards there at the end. I doubt they play for a game tying FG and I doubt we stop them from a TD.

3 turnovers and they may have won this by 10. That's crazy.
