  1. I traveled over 600 miles to the game last Saturday and also spent about $300 on two tickets through Stubhub. Stubhub has already sent me an email letting me know my refund is on the way because of their fan protect guarantee. So while the long drive was no fun and the cancelation was a major bummer, at least I got my money back. All I'm saying is even if there's a new game scheduled somewhere down the line it looks like Stubhub has already started the process of issuing refunds. I hadn't been to a game in Lincoln for nearly seven years and I'm assuming the buzz around the place during that time was nothing like what we saw Saturday night. GBR!
  2. and BTW..I thought it was funny to see all of the Husker fans taking photos of Michigan's 1997 National Champions banner. We know better!
  3. My wife and I went up from Ft. Wayne, IN. I have nothing but good things to say about the experience (of course except for the outcome). We parked in some man's front yard for $25. He told us where we could get food and hang out after the game as well as the best way to avoid the post game traffic. Very nice. When we got to the stadium we were welcomed so many times I lost count. In our section there was not a whole lot of red but we never really felt intimidated or anything like that. Everyone was relatively nice save for the goofballs you're going to find everywhere anyway. I really hope Michigan fans can have the same welcome mat laid out for them next year when they hit Lincoln. Maybe the game results will be better though. GBR!
  4. my wife and i are heading up from ft. wayne, in. i'm so excited. looking for a husker fan hangout friday night!
  5. my football wish is a 10-0 nebraska team travelling to ann arbor on nov. 19 to play the 10-0 wolverines. that would be an EPIC beginning to a new rivalry (and i've got tickets to that game incidentally).
  6. Got my 4 ticket pack. Row 87 for the Nebraska game. At least I got row 8 for Eastern Michigan! (Sarcasm)
  7. I just read a tweet from Sean Callahan that Watson is a candidate for the open Pitt job. There are some other names we know on the list too (located at PantherLair.com). I for one don't think this has any chance of happening since Miami of Ohio didn't even hire him, the results of the bowl game, etc. but I find it interesting nevertheless. I tried to check out the site but it isn't free and I'm not paying for it.
  8. Shame on the entire coaching staff for not having this team ready to go. Obviously nothing was learned from the 2nd half of the CCG. The O-line play is awful and T-Mart looks like a deer in the headlights. Even the D is getting their butts handed to them. I can't remember turning off a Huskers game out of disgust before but this might be the first time.
  9. I am patiently waiting for Washington. True, the game doesn't mean much as far as national attention goes, but the Huskers need to roll and end this season on a positive note. I will be watching the game in my Husker gear just like I always do. It doesn't matter who is playing QB, RB, DB, or water boy. This is our team and I am damned proud to be a Husker fan. I don't post very often, but I read a lot of the threads and I agree. Let's calm down. We have a lot to look forward to.
  10. I've never been as excited to live in Fort Wayne, Indiana as I am right now. With the Huskers joining the B10 next year, us Fort Wayne fans are within a four hour drive of seven B10 venues. I am bound and determined to hit the game in Ann Arbor next year vs. Michigan. I'm also planning to travel to Madison, Minneapolis, and State College. I don't know what next season will bring as far as a win/loss record or Husker domination, but I can't wait nevertheless. Oh, and did I mention the Big 10 Network? I'm in Husker heaven! Maybe there are other Husker fans in the area that would like to meet up to tailgate at Michigan next year, or plan to tailgate at other games in IN, MI, OH, or IL. I am so excited about the prospect of showing our colors and letting the B10 schools know what Husker fans are all about. GO BIG RED!!
  11. Sweet...this means I'm done paying for PPV! See you all 11/26 v. CO!!!
  12. As an out of state fan who is going to his first home game (v. Colorado) since about 1994 some of these posts have me a little nervous. Am I seriously going to be told to sit down and shut up by some "advanced" Husker fans? We paid a lot of coin for our seats in section 16. I don't want the experience to be ruined. I have years of pent up emotion that I fully intend on tapping into to help cheer my beloved Huskers to victory.
  13. Why is ESPN3 not working/
