  1. It's still early so the numbers aren't that compelling yet, but according to Sagarin we've played the 69th toughest schedule so far, while Wisconsin's SOS is 148. Last time I checked, there were 120 D1-A teams, so, for what it's worth, there is an ENTIRE DIVISION of college football that has played a tougher schedule than them. Actually, not really. Some IAA teams are ranked higher than IA teams. So, this prompted me to sort Sagarin's schedule ranking just by IA teams, and you weren't far off with your statement -- Wisconsin has played the 113th weakest schedule out of 120 D1 teams. Purdue has played the weakest. FTR, Nebraska listed as 62nd of 120.
  2. I looked there, too - and tried http://buckyville.yuku.com/. OMG is it painfully slow.
  3. It's still early so the numbers aren't that compelling yet, but according to Sagarin we've played the 69th toughest schedule so far, while Wisconsin's SOS is 148. and using Sagarin's predictor, we're roughly a 10 point underdog.
  4. I refuse to get an iPad - just find apple way too proprietary and limiting, though I admit I do love my ipod touch (which I got as a gift). FWIW - ASUS as a tablet probably has the Quickbooks capability. I was actually looking at these today. http://www.amazon.com/Transformer-TF101-B1-10-1-Inch-Tablet-Computer/dp/B004U78JT8/ref=wl_it_dp_o_npd?ie=UTF8&coliid=I5JR8R1HBB3WL&colid=2RIBXZVG3ZIU3
  5. For what it's worth (the electrons needed to create this post is what it's worth), the ESPiN "Insider" Heisman predictor thingamaboby has Martinez tied for 2nd place with Russell Wilson.
  6. Don't like NU in all white. I don't know why, just don't. For some reason, and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Texas pulls off the all-whites really nicely. Their all-whites are alrights.
  7. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself in Lincoln, Hpup. No offense, but unless Nebraska's in the Rose Bowl, I'd prefer not to play Washington AGAIN. Enough is enough. I will be rooting for the Huskies the rest of the way - I think they can go from good to great if the defense gets shored up a bit. (I am the pot, calling the kettle black here). Oh, and congrats on dodging getting Texass into your conference. I hope your commish was serious when he said "NO", but who knows.
  8. No go for the Pac, or is this just lip service like we've been hearing on/off? http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/6998751/texas-ou-staying-put-pac-12-denies-expansion
  9. Does anyone know or have a guess on if NU will ever start a hockey team now that they're in the B1G? Just curious.
  10. I've said it before, but watching the recruiting videos of Abdullah reminded me of a modern-day Johnny Rodgers so I was excited to see what he could do. It should go without saying, but I'll say it anyway -- he has been my favorite so far as a return man. Not so much yet as an RB, of course. One thing is for sure -- I think as Ron Brown gets more settled into his role as RB coach, and they all get more coaching, all 3 are going to be pretty beastly. The future looks very bright with all the play makers on offense.
  11. Don't know if you're serious... Of course not. Many people said we would no longer be able to get kids out of Texas since we were leaving the Big 12.
  12. And what's worse is that Bielema (sp?) can be a huge d***head -- if he can run up a score, he will. Now, to contradict myself a little bit, I don't think there is any such thing as running up a score -- if you don't like it, stop the other team. Huskers better be prepared to man up & make plays for 60 minutes, or be embarrassed.
  13. Is he really from Texas? I thought we were told we couldn't recruit in Texas any more now that we're in the B1G. Anywho, welcome to the family!
  14. "Wyoming scares me"... You're on Scare Tactics -- you've been set up!
  15. Oh hell to the yes on this (TO/Perlman). I could not be happier right now because we are right where we want/need to be for the foreseeable future! As for the ND aspect - hard to say. There are so many things coming out of left field and right, who knows.
  16. I would like KU and MU in the B1G with us, but no one else.
  17. Washington's defense will lose them some games. They won't win the Pac or even come close, IMO. They are a good team, but no way a great team.
  18. Like all the other Husker fans on here, I was loving the offensive prowess yesterday. However, what remains to be seen is what happens when a defense with a pulse is on the other side. The team has yet to face any real defense yet. I can only hope and pray that the O-Line continues to gel and team chemistry goes into high gear, (and our young defenders learn from all the early mistakes). I will reserve judgement on the offense until we see a real team. Washington's defense was Cosgrovianly horrid coming in (like the Okie-light game last year). We will be facing some solid defenses in the B1G - Beck will have to earn his paycheck this year and I think he might just get us over the hump, and this youth movement early will pay off down the road.
