  1. Heading out to Laramie and need some help with some clever sign ideas? Thanks guys!
  2. Carnes came into Lincoln at about 180 I bet. He honestly looks like he's at 190/195. Shoulders definetly look broader and his arms look more toned.(no homo) I'm excited. **Bell is a pretty straight shooter kinda guy but hilarious at the same time. The thing that kind of scared me is he believes the new offense will be no-huddle, check downs at line, and audibles. We don't necessary have a QB that can make those kind of calls. A lot like Peyton Manning being the QB/offensive coordinator for the Colts. He run's that entire offense. Beck is entirely correct that he's looking for a leader for the offense(totally makes sense). It will be interesting to say the least.
  3. Recently had a chance to talk to Kenny Bell in one of my classes just shooting the sh*t, He said "He's pumped for this new offense." "It's crazy fast and we're really going to use our team speed." "I really don't think any Big10 team will stop us if we're all on the same page." "Just wait till the spring game man." *He also thinks he will get some good PT and has the ability to show off his moves and speed to his new WR Coach. **Sounds like we are hopefully going to utilize our Wr's more/RB's out of the backfield (Green, Abdullah) Hearing him talk just puts a smile on my face and I truely think we will be putting up points this season. ***Also I noticed Carnes at Memorial Stadium and he seems to be filling out a bit. Looks like he's gained 10-15 pounds of muscle especially upper-body and he looks great! FWIW
  4. Just sharing what my peepers have been seeing LYONS. Why would Martinez switch to safety with Osborne, Cassidy, Stafford, and Jackson being very capable players? I can't really see Martinez laying the wood as a DB by any means/Intensity on Defense. He's a QB. The scary thing is, he's only going to get better. I can't explain to you how much experience is valued in college football. The Kid is going to be a playmaker and hopefully Beck will actaully utilize his skill set and call some play-action passes, roll-outs, bootlegs. Exciting. With the fact of Martinez breaking a smile.I guess it's a lot harder to be sarcastic over the internet.
  5. B.S. Idk wear you're hearing your info. As I am a student at UNL, has friends on the football team and see's all the staff and players everyday at the Training Table. BTW, saw Martinez broke a smile today sitting with the other QB's. FWIW.
  6. Just got back from the Training Table at Memorial Stadium. I noticed Ron Brown sitting down with Barney Cotton and Tim Beck eating lunch. So I figure he's still with the program. I also found it interesting how these guys were constantly on the phone. Curious if Bo is sending them some info and what changes are about to occur.
  7. I couldn't help but notice how big our guys will be in 2011. The Holiday bowl really showed how weak are offensive line has become, whether that goes to the Barney or not we need some ground pavers. Our starting Unit LT-Sirles 6-6 310 LG-Rodriguez 6-6 325 C-Caputo 6-1 275, (Reeves could push him for the starting job, 6-3 300, more of a center body) RG-Qvale 6-7 320 RT-Yoshi 6-7 320 Hopefully are offensive strategy will shift from the zone read to more of a downhill runnning attack. We could possibly have a very physical unit next year and that will be a key to become successful in the BIG10. thoughts?
  8. LSU has to play @ Arkansas. So if Alabama loses to LSU they will have two loses(cant go to MNC with two loses). I'm not worried about LSU jumping us because I can see them losing to Arkansas or even in the SEC Championship game. Auburn will lose to Alabama. Auburn's loss so late in the season will hurt them and knock them out. There's definetly a chance of us making it to the No. 2,3 spot by the end of the Conference Championships. love to see us play Oregon.
  9. Okay boys I did my homework. What we need. LSU needs to beat Alabama this weekend,,, Alambama needs to beat Auburn in the last regular season game,,, Since Auburn loses so late in the season, We will jump them. Hopefully the winner of the SEC West will lose in the SEC Championship game. Utah and TCU play each other so that will knock one out. Boise St. Plays Nevada(never know) Even if we win out and same with OU, we have to win the BIGXII championship. And even if Boise is still undefeated, it will boost us over Boise to No. 2...AND Oregon there toughest part of the schedule coming up...... DOM DOM DOMMMMMMM. Happy Halloween boys
  10. is the game being played in seahawk stadium or washington's field? Please inform me cause I'm hearing both from multiple sources.
