It seems to have calmed down and gotten a little more productive in there now. A while back, if you even said we should review our vetting procedures somebody would equate that to hating Muslims. I had to step away at that point. People need to realize there are some valid concerns and supporting those doesn't translate to supporting DJT or how he is handling it.

We literally made Pledge Paddles in my house. One of the first things we had to do.

They were never used, of course, but that they existed points to that tradition from back in the day.

It seems like they are more for decoration now.  You make it, keep it and have it forever.

Yeah, we had paddles too. I still have mine somewhere. We bought them from some frat supply place.  Those things are brutal, 1/2" thick solid wood.  I guess we did threaten to use them on the pledges but we never did.....Thus some of the mental hazing accusations

My apologies for not reading the linked article - The LJS reported on the "no means yes" chants, and it's been all over facebook, so I (safely, I thought) assumed that the OWH would have reported such as well.

"If you use a word for yourself as a rallying cry don't get mad when people use it to insult you" still isn't an argument for anything other than people lacking decency, though.

And I did say I can understand why the woman quoted considered it vulgar. It's vulgar by people all around who use that word. The OWH writers appears to have just read the LJS reports and rewrote their piece leaving out key details to make it look as though they didn't steal the entire piece.

@BigRedBuster  Jim Baldridge seasoning (in North Platte) used to have an old timer pastrami recipe on their website. It was a family thing passed down a few generations and involved curing brisket with saltpeter in your fridge for many days. I‘ve always wanted to try it but pretty sure the wife would divorce me if I left a full brisket in the fridge for a few weeks.

I've made the one I linked (and then realized it's mentioned in the video above) and it's easy.  I use my beer fridge in the garage.  My wife is well used to me doing strange recipes in that fridge.  She stopped complaining when she tastes it.

Most mornings, I'll make some fried eggs for myself: put them in a hot pan with some S&P, put a lid on it so the tops get steamed. No flipping necessary. Done in a couple minutes, super easy. I fold a pretty good omelet as well, but on the weekends when I have more time.

Depends on the dish:

Benedict - poached (duh)

Avocado toast - over medium

Shakshuka - sunny side up basically

Burrito - scrambled

On a burger - over easy

66 and 67 chevelle is the best looking muscle cars made.

There was a lot if muscle cars between my circle of friends in high school.  There was a '70 Chevelle, a '74 Chevelle, my '66, a '70 Charger, '69 Camaro, '64 Coronet, and there was a Trans Am but I forget what year.  Probably late '70s or early '80s, but I honestly don't know.

I've probably put way too much thought in to this.  For me, if it's not urgent, it depends on the day of the week.  If I email someone on Monday or Tuesday, I'm usually following up on Friday.  If it is later in the week that I send the initial email, I usually wait until the following Monday or Tuesday to follow up. 

@GSG LOL I'll admit I'm the same way. I don't answer the phone unless it's certain people or a superior.

I have a coworker that always tries to call me when I ask him the simplest questions through Slack. It's like... dude... take 30 sec. and just send me a response. You don't have to always call me.

I'm also on the phone or on a call 50% of my day so Slack is usually a better way to reach me.

Maybe I am just weird, I respond to emails pretty much the moment I get them, if I can.

NM, I'd like to think that it would work and being from the FoCo area, think the community would rally around her. But seeing as 300 something D1 coaching jobs are held by male coaches, I don't think it's unreasonable to question it. 

Most coaches fail at their job...very few are great at their job.
