Did anyone actually think at the beginning of the year that we had an awesome defense just waiting to be unleashed? No. But we hoped. But it is just not the case. No stars on defense was the theme of many articles about these players. An average front 7, bad tacklers at Safety and apparently good talent at CB - however we never faced a stiff pass attack. God bless!. We made it to 10-3. With luck and a ball bouncing our way we could close out 11-3. 5 years from now when you look back on this record only - not the scores of the games, IMO.

unfortunately we suffered that same humiliation to South Carolina not so long ago as well. We bounced alright - and came down HARD. The answer to that is to get back up, buckle the chin strap tighter, and come back meaner and tougher. I have no doubt Nebraska will come to the game ready to redeem themselves. If any NU fan doesn't think that, then they're only a fair weather fan. I am absolutely stoked to be playing Georgia. Of course I'd rather be playing in the Rose Bowl against Stanford but I suppose you would rather be playing ND in the big one. I worked down in Georgia for a bit a couple years back. I was living on St. George's Island. I did not know that was the place every Georgia fan comes to before they head down to Jacksonville to face Florida. That was a crazy weekend. Bars and beach was packed. Regardless of the current attitude of this board I think most are excited to play Georgia and show the country that we are still Nebraska.

The non-call on Eric was blantant and a no brainer. It was right in front of the Back Judge. Coupled with the possible injury it also lost of e game. We were driving. Deffinatly going to score. Did that game also cost us the shot at the Big 12 CCG? Also this play is why I refuse to root for KSU ever. Also purple is ugly.

First off.. it is Arkansas. Not a top flight program. I don't care what conference it is in. Feels like a strange lateral move (besides the $$$). Whatever. Moving on. PS is the SEC hype over yet?

Considering mass majority was that we would go 7-5 this season, I don't know why people are so glum. Yes, it would make a much better offseason, and would be a very good season. I agree. We played pretty good defense considering the lack of talent we ha at DL and LB. We all knew we had a suspect front 4. Too many lingering injuries and not enough depth. Winning football games are hard. And speaking of 7-5 --- Hello preseason #1 USC. Want to trade records even if you had to take these blowout losses? I bet you would.

Do you guys think that if we compete and beat Georgia it will wash the stank off the program remaining from the CCG? A bowl win and 11-3 season would sure make it a BETTER offseason. I hope they pull it together for January. You know, for the kids.

It was an awesome block and a bad call. The trouble with these flags is they are not called with any consistency. I also understand why t was flagged. Kenny probably didn't need to bring the 180lbs pain train. I am glad neither player was seriously hurt.
