Jon Zatechka is on this week's Doc Talk Podcast with his brother, Rob. I'm an hour into it. Jon gives some good details on how his son, Isaac, was recruited out of high school, and Isaac's recent re-recruitment when Isaac transferred from Missouri recently. Find it on your favorite podcast provider.

Who’s gonna be lame and “root for the conference” today?
-
Some nice Husker banter on tonight's Better Call Saul.
-
Not Husker related, but I have loved how the entire internet has dunked on Coach K after the Dookies loss to UNC last night. There is good in humanity!
-
I know I'm in the minority here, but rooting for teams in your conference in bowl games is lame.

@ladyhawke I root for TCU and Baylor in the Big 12. Sometimes I can get behind Iowa State. I like Texas A&M (SEC, former Big12) and Arkansas (SEC, former SWC). I also like watching SMU and Houston (former SWC teams).

I wonder how much $ goes into Big Red Max's hands when people accidentally click on one of the many pop-up ads on this dang page.
-
@GSG I'd be happy just to have the site work well on my cell phone.

Iowa is on pace to be outscored in their 3 losses by 55 points. NU had 9 losses by a combined 56 points. SMH.
-
If you think NU has had bad special teams, Baylor has missed 2 FG's and just muffed a punt in the Big 12 Championship game. This is a week after both OU and OSU muffed punts inside their own 5 in Bedlam.

Michigan-Ohio State officially canceled. I can't wait for the Big Ten to miraculously change their rules and standards for Ohio State.

Northwestern regresses towards the mean today.

I'm back after a self-imposed week-long ban after the NW game. Everyone miss me?

Any day the Cyclones and the Wild-kittens lose at home to Sun Belt teams is a good day.

Some of these are pretty good, especially the one on Nebraska.

Pickering out! Details in the attrition thread.

How many of you guys like the movie, Rudy?
This was a topic on a radio show this morning, as Saturday Night Live did a spoof of it this past weekend.
Personally, I think it's a terrible movie, and I don't get how any non-Notre Dame fan can like it.

Interesting tidbit on the roster from the LJS, 93.4% of the returning players will have used their redshirts. Frost is definitely trying to get the roster to mature, while also still be "young" eligibility-wise.

I know I’m glad I don’t have a TV camera in my face for 3 hours every week, but Bill Callahan has had that odd facial tick with his mouth since his days at Nebraska.
-
@teachercd Did those girls also look like Bill Callahan?

I wonder what the percentage of crazy Ohio State fans are saying that if Burrow were named QB1 instead of Haskins in 2018, that he would have stuck around for his senior year and they would be in the natty this year. My guess is about the same percentage of NU fans complaining about Frost not recruiting Burrow when he was transferring.
-
Most that have been following him through HS and while he was at OSU are happy for him. Who knows for sure of he would have developed like he has at OSU, but there are many that wanted him over Haskins from the beginning. I think if he didn't break his hand his RS so year, he would have been the one that went into the Michigan game over Haskins. If he would have won the game like Haskins did, I think he would have been the starter at OSU and Haskins would have tranfered. OSU wasnt going to win the playoffs last year with Burrow and Haskins ended up having a very good year. They now have Fields for at least another year. I think it has worked out fine for OSU. Good luck to Burrow in his next game and hopefully he works magic for the Bengals next year.

Is Day gonna lose this game because he didn’t go for 2 after scoring the TD to make the score 22-21?

@teachercd coaches definitely have a fear of negative results

Ed McCaffrey hired as new football coach at Northern Colorado. It's not a bad choice to try a big name to get local CO kids to stay home instead of going to other FCS programs.

Good luck in the Big Sky with EWU, the Montana’s, Weber State, and the rotation of pop-up success from other teams. Beau Baldwin going back to the Big Sky doesn’t sit right with me, but he’s gotta do his thing. Ed will have his work cut out for him, I’m genuinely interested in seeing success from someone like him.

@ColoradoHusk Dmac on the fan in Denver tried to speculate Luke will leave NU to go play in Greeley bc he is buried on the depth chart. It was really dumb.
