When I fix someones computer I will usually run Ad-Aware first, then Spybot Search and Destroy. HiJackThis can be helpful too, but you really have to know what you are doing to use it. If it is really bad, I have them bring the PC over to my place. I copy all their data off of it and reinstall the operating system. Quote Link to comment
