i just wanted to re introduce myself, i havent posted on here in a loooooooooooooooong time, i thought id start to post again, ive been busy with school lately, good to be back.

1) How long have you been a member of Husker Nation? Crap, do I have to say? Okay...46 years...I came out of the womb as a Husker fan.

 

2) What/who led you to The Nation? Grandparents and Mom. Before I even knew there was an NFL or NBA or MLB, I was fully aware that the best damn football in the world was played about 1200 miles away in Lincoln, Nebraska.

 

3) Where are you from originally? Baldwin Park, CA (a suberb of Los Angeles).

 

4) Where do you live now? Rancho Cucamonga, CA (yes thats really the name of the city)

 

5) Favorite Husker memory? Watching Scott Frost running on an option QB keeper and hitting a Missouri defender so hard that he broke his own shoulder pads and had to leave the game to have them repaired (He, of course was fine, but I bet the MU player’s bell is still ringing).

 

6) Worst Husker memory? Watching the pass to Jeff Smith just barely get tipped away on the two point conversion in the `84 Orange Bowl (Still love TO for going for it though).

 

7) Number of home games attended? One

 

8) Number of away games attended? Eight (Counting Bowls). But I have seen them 4 times at the Rose Bowl (1 Rose Bowl and 3 UCLA games) so I sort of consider that a home game

 

9) Favorite Husker memorabilia/apparel? So many, I have a Husker Room full of them. Perhaps my photo of Dr. Tom and me that Dr. Tom later signed for me. Also, football signed by EC and half of the 2001 Huskers. And a Tony Ortiz game used glove that I caught in the stands after the Fiesta Bowl in 2000.

 

10) Favorite place to watch a Husker game? (section in Memorial, bar, friends house etc.) Memorial Stadium, even though I've only had the opportunity once.

 

11) Favorite all time player? Tie: Tommie Frazier, Eric Crouch, Scott Frost, Mike Rozier, Tom Rathman, Terell Farley, Turner Gill, Mike Mintor, Mike Brown, Grant Wistrom, Trev Alberts, Will Shields, Dave Rimington, Dean Steinkuhler, Lawrence Phillips (I know, I know but good lord he was an amazing talent), Johnny Rogers, Cory Schlesinger....

 

12) WCO or Option? Option. If it were run the same way, with the same type of players, it would still be winning us national championships. Remember, they were all saying the game had passed TO by, and that his system was antiquated in the early `90s before he unleashed the 60-3 five-year-run that included 3 national titles.

 

13) Stevie Pederson or Billy Byrne? Neither of those two Bozo’s. Bob Devaney. But since he is gone, and since Dr. Tom is no longer in Washington D.C., maybe……

Hey, have you been to the Irish Rogue in midtown? It's the Husker Watch headquarters and it's full of Nebraska fans on gamedays. I live on the upper west side and usually go down there for the games that we don't get on cable.
