Updated Rivals 100

Recommended Posts

In our heraladed '05 class, we did have Lucky at 13, Leon Jackson at 47, Ndamukong Suh at 51, Phillip Dillard at 76, and apparently a much-heralded QB recruit named Harrison Beck didn't make the Rivals100.

By the way, on this updated Rivals100, did Fisher and Okafor both lose stars? Wasn't Levorson 3 star? Or was it Scout that had Fisher/Okafor as 4-stars.

In 2006, we had none. Last year (this year's incoming freshmen), we have Niles Paul 73, and that's it.

In 2004, we had Lydon Murtha at 42, and Cortney Grixby at 75 (that's right, a 4-star DB and the 5th-ranked CB). In 2002, we had David Horne (who said we hadn't signed a major RB prospect in years before Lucky??) at 78.

Looking back at these rankings is interesting. You notice a lot of guys who went hyped into the NFL draft at the top of the Rivals100 lists, and some whose names have faded. And Colt McCoy was a 3-star who, well, turned out quite well.
