AF_Husker
So I am in the Air Force... and I found out today that I was selected to be an ROTC Professor for Iowa State University... Now I'm a die-hard, red-bleeding, corn-eating, ruff-n-tuff CORNHUSKER from my head to my toes... and I plan on showing it every fricken time I can while on campus. The great news about this job is that I'll be 3 hours from Lincoln (and grandparents who can watch my kids) . Of course the bad part is that I'll be surrounded by 'clones. I'll be able to attend games, visit family, and damn if I am super excited about that! So, where is the best place to meet with husker fans close to Ames? Should I just drive to Omaha... if I do that, I might as well head to Lincoln! DAMNIT THIS ROCKS! WOOHOO!!! Quote Link to comment

Section 24, Row 10, Seats 1 & 2 at Hilton Auditorium during any home basketball game (season tickets...love that Cyclone Basketball). I'll be the only one in the place with a Nebraska jacket. You can't miss me. Oh...and while you're in the state, if you see anyone wearing Hawkeye gear, hit em in the mouth. They deserve it. Just consider it a pre-emptive strike. Quote Link to comment

AF_Husker
Haha, good advice. Man, I am so looking forward to this... and the kicker is I get to deploy to Iraq for 4 months before I sell my house, buy a new one, and move the family a month later! Quote Link to comment

BGREDSTUCKN IA
I hear ya AF, I live in Johnston, but work in Ames. Fortunately I work with one husker, one jayhawk, a hawkeye and only one cyclown. There are a few husker bars here in DSM. Most of them are a good time. Quote Link to comment

I am heading up to Johnston in March to attend a two week training course at the Midwest Counterdrug Training Center. I am going to get ahold of BRI and knock down a few brews. We ought to get a mini "Husker" party going! Quote Link to comment

Everytime we go back and visit the Inlaws we hit Hickory Park. I get so sick of Mesquite BBQ down here in Texas! It's nice to actually have something Hickory smoked for a change.
