Simple... what is in your ear holes right now. format to follow (we all like order):
(Band/Artist name) - (Song title)
add a why that is the track you selected at this particular time if you want to.

I will start.

Lamb Of God - Laid to Rest

seems very appropriate for Cally leaving Lincoln today.

Joe Satriani - Always With Me, Always With You (Live)

Ever since we had our little girl, I've gotten quite soft...oh well, damn fine guitarist, good clean sound, cute baby :clap :corndance

skersfan - "So refreshing, a guy (Mike Riley) that actually wants to be Nebraska's head coach. Changed his comfy lifetime contract, to seek and conquer a goal, milestone. Not looking for the next door to open, wants to be our coach, your coach and my coach. This alone is going to change the culture here. He gets it, wants it, embraces the challenge and anyone listening to him, has to want it for him."

Satriani is awesome. Love Surfing with the Alien. Met him when he played the Ranch Bowl many years ago.

Yes - Wondrous Stories.

I always liked the way the original Yes incorporated acoustic guitar into their songs. A lot of the music has the flavor of what I think of as "Arthurian Era" sounding music.

Maybe I'm old of or the fact that I have no antenna on my truck , but I have never heard of 95% of the music listed so far in this thread.

Lifehouse - Bridges

I absolutely love this band . . . which is funny, because they sound nothing like anything else that I listen to. Yet they are far and away my favorite band in the world.

You are either old, or do not listen to modern rock/metal stations(which I admit are hard as hell to find).

Jim Croce - "One Less Set of Footsteps"

Not only was Jim a great singer and lyricist, he penned, in that song, one of the world's greatest "F#$k you, bitch - I'm outta here" tunes.

And if you haven't heard his rendition of the "Ball of Kerrymuir" you have to check it out - probably the funniest dirty song you'll ever hear. Beats "The Scottsman" hands down...
