kchusker_chris Posted November 16, 2010 Share Posted November 16, 2010 With the Super Bowl on the Feb 6th, and signing day on the 2nd...there's only 2 NFL teams whose seasons aren't already over. Teams that don't make the playoffs are done in the first week of January. Most of the NFL hiring is done shortly after. I'd say if Harbaugh leaves this year (which I don't think he will - see below), he'll announce it shortly after Stanford's win in the Alamo Bowl over Texas A&M on the December 29th. The Vikings will have already been in discussions with him for a couple weeks. The writing is on the wall in Minnesota. BUT, The reason why I don't see him leaving this year, is because he will leave next year. Michigan needs that much time to - A) confirm that Rodriquez was a bad hire B) fire him C) design and build out Harbaugh's new $100,000 bathroom...with a crap (no pun intended) ton of heated marble because it gets cold in Michigan.
