Nexus
Wide receiver A.J. Dugat and offensive lineman Ari Tatum, both sophomores, have been dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules, coach Kevin Sumlin announced Wednesday evening. Sumlin did not elaborate on the reason for the dismissal. Dugat, a former Parade All-American from Dayton, Texas, caught 14 passes for 170 yards, and had one rush for 15 yards. He also spent time as a punt and kick returner. Tatum, who is from Dacula, Ga., redshirted in 2008 and played in spot time as a redshirt freshman this past season. LINK Quote Link to comment
huzkerbob
I assume most Husker fans know AJ Dugat played at Dayton with NU's own Cody Green. So I guess I will be the first to ask, What was it he did to get the boot? (It must have been pretty serious for Sumlin to cut a parade all-american after one year.) And what are the chances AJ lands in Lincoln? (Hey, someone was going to ask.) Quote Link to comment
redout22
Interesting. Wonder if the coaches would approach him. Quote Link to comment
NUance
For "a violation of team rules." That could be anything. Hate to see a kid lose his scholie. But ya gots to follow the rules. Quote Link to comment
