Redmusky
from checking out the new boards, doesnt seem like they are having much of a problem getting members to migrate to Max's new site. Looking like ISI is going to end up with their bubblegum caught in the zipper once the smoke clears. I agree with you Huskerpedia has no movement on their board, Max is gaining ground. Bradr
I gotta admit, there is some small part of me that wants to peek and see what they're up to... But thats what they want, so I have avoided temptation thus far. I think it'll get better once spring football starts. These slow times will make a man slip just for a tidbit of husker info. What's wrong with visiting their boards? I do it once in a while, and I use HP's stats pages all the time for info. You won't catch anything going over there. They're Husker fans, too. Bradr
I meant visiting huskerpedia vs visiting huskermax, which I currently do. A small part of me wants to see if huskerpedia has any info that huskermax might have missed. But visiting huskerpedia plays into the very reasons that huskkerpedia's owners got greedy in the first place. Quote Link to comment
knapplc
I get it. Duh. There's nothing wrong with peeking in, I guess. I won't, but whatever. PS - I posted last week that I emailed ISI about the HP situation. They never responded, and I don't blame them. I wouldn't have responded either. Quote Link to comment
huKSer
Uh-oh. I tried going to huskermax.com and got "This website is currently unavailable. If you are the owner of the site call. . ." Let the legal war begin?? Quote Link to comment

Pasadena Husker
just went to the huskermax site and there is some text detailing some of the legal wrangling going on with who owns the rights to huskerpedia. Quote Link to comment
WCHusker
You are at HuskerMax.com As most of the Husker Internet community is aware by now, David Max and Joe Hudson are involved in a legal dispute over the ownership of the domain name HuskerPedia.com and the copyright of the content put there by Joe and David since 1999. This dispute was initiated when David Max was terminated as an officer and board member in Information Superbrand, Inc., SportsPedia, Inc., and TravelPedia, Inc. by Eric Park and the Information Superbrand board of directors, David J. Homsey and Randy Selin. Since that time Eric Park and Tal Golan (ISI CEO since Dec. 17, 2009) have made public statements regarding this dispute that are inaccurate. The latest attempt by Eric Park and Tal Golan was to file a copyright infringement claim with the HuskerMax hosting provider GoDaddy. GoDaddy responded to that request by suspending our server account with them earlier today. Below is a single statement made by Tal Golan that is inaccurate and we will be pursuing legal remedies to get these issues resolved. Tal Golan wrote: "ISI has always been the owner of HuskerPedia.com, also a fact that I hope no one actually questions. This, too, is easy to prove. No need to take my word." This document proves otherwise. This document signed by Eric Park and Dave Homsey offers further proof to the contrary. Note the "except Huskerpedia" statement in the document. In spite of this and other documentation that show that there is in fact an issue of ownership of the HuskerPedia domain name and the content created by Joe Hudson and myself (along with other writers) since 1995. Eric Park, Tal Golan and the other officers of Information Superbrand are attempting to take that from Joe, myself, and the other contributors including the designer of the HuskerPedia logo. Their latest attempt was to file a copyright complaint with GoDaddy on March 11th. GoDaddy honored their unilateral complaint without any documentation and suspended our server account with us this morning (3/15/2010). We are in the process of complying with GoDaddy's request to remove all content in question from their server at this time. Currently we are waiting on a response from GoDaddy (3 PM PST 3/15/2010). Copy of letter from Tal Golan to GoDaddy. I apologize for the inconvenience that this dispute has caused the Husker fan base that has benefited from the thousands of hours that Joe and I have dedicated to the development of HuskerPedia and can assure you that I will do everything within the legal system to regain the intellectual property that Joe and I have created for the past decade and one half. We will have the fresh links created by Joe Hudson, David Max and Aaron Westerfield since the dispute started in the very near future. Thank you for your patience while Joe and I get this issue resolved. We appreciate the support that we have received so far and hope to receive in the future. David Max Quote Link to comment
