I live in Overland Park, KS (KC). I am a recruiter in the accounting/finance division. I have always lived in KS. I grew up in Topeka, went to Kansas State University (where I got dirty looks everyday for wearing Husker stuff). Both my parents grew up in Nebraska, one in Lincoln and the other in Wilber. We have had season tickets in my family since 1955. My mother just got them in her name after my grandfather died and here in a few years, I will have my mom transfer them to me.

Barcelona, Spain.

Work:
What is your current occupation?
Investment Banking Analyst.

What has been your best job ever?
This one, so far.

Worst job?
I waited tables at a breakfast diner in Florida. I woke up at 4:00am everyday. It sucked.

Dream job?
CEO of a Fortune 500. Major Husker booster.

Hobbies:
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I listen to a lot of music. My favorite genres are Death Metal, Progressive Metal, Folk, Classical, Underground Hip/Hop and General Rock. I also played football for Northwestern University, so I have been working out a lot since college to keep in shape.

Strangest/most interesting hobby, skill or personal anecdote?
In the 90s, my family would buy tickets to National Championships way before the season even started in the hopes of getting a better price before the Huskers made it and tickets got really expensive. This was a good idea in theory, but we never made the title game when we bought tickets in advance, so as a result I have been to 2 national title games that Nebraska didn't even play in (1998 - Tennessee vs. Florida State and 2000 - Oklahoma vs. Florida State).

For you posters that are picking Florida as your dream place to live I have one question. Are you high? Either you have never been there or you like cranky old people , stiffeling heat , horrible traffic , high crime , over-population , gready developers , polluted beaches , corrupt public officials , and materialistic , shallow people. I basically grew up there and watched it go from a wild , wonderfully magic place to a cesspool. I saw all of these great natural wonders like crystal clear lakes and rivers in virgin palm and scrub oak hammocks turned into shopping malls and gated communities. They still to this day pave over 400 acres everyday in Florida. Even north Florida is under attack now. I hate to wish destruction on people or places , but I do in the case of Florida. I wish for a cat 5 hurricane to wipe the place clean and give it back to mother nature where it should be. If enough people lost their homes and livelihoods down there , people would stop moving there. I was lucky enough to see Florida before it was destroyed by the tourism trade and developers. What is down there now is not Florida. :rant

Some of my favorite quotes:
"The odds are always against you no matter what your previous history is. You have to overcome the tendency to relax." -Tom Osborne-

"...life's this game of inches. And so is football. Because in either game, life or football, the margin for error is so small. I mean... one half a step too late or too early and you don't quite make it. One half second too slow too fast, you don't quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They are in every break of the game, every minute, every second. On this team, we fight for that inch. On this team, we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches, that's gonna make the difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!" -Al Pacino, Any Given Sunday-

Dear Lord, the battles we go through life,
We ask for a chance that's fair
A chance to equal our stride,
A chance to do or dare

If we should win, let it be by the code,
Faith and Honor held high

If we should lose, we'll stand by the road,
And cheer as the winners go by

Day by Day, we get better and better!
Til' we can't be beat...
WON'T BE BEAT!

Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.

Enschew obfuscation, espouse elucidation. It seems to me all too often we confuse nuance with obusfaction. Is the difference subtle or purposefully obsured?
