MLB 51
So. Where is the best place to go in S.D. Well, the Black Hills in the western part of the state are bloody awesome. In the east, there's more big, clean lakes than you can shake a stick at. Even better, there's almost no one on them (thank God). I guess it depends on what you like. I've been wanting to take camping trip somewhere cool. S.D. sounds like a place for good camping and fishing. Might try to get up there next summer. Quote Link to comment

Have big fun my friend. Mostly just bass, crappie, catfish down here. S.E. Kansas has some really good fishing. We have strip pits that are stocked by the Fish & Game Commission. Lot of nice fish in them. Quote Link to comment

Landlord
I have no problem with and actually quite a fondness for all things South Dakota. Except for Augustana. Quote Link to comment

Yankton has a huge thing going for it by being a great community on such a plentiful river and a few people I know are making some moves to really add to the draw and bring more people to town. Preliminaries are looking good too. There is only one pizza place in town that gets asked about and that is Charlie's. I am not particularly fond of eating there but many of my friends like it. It is very popular but the word is that other than the taste of the pizza, everything else is going downhill, sadly. Tastee Treat just down the street past the hospital is making a strong comeback though. Quote Link to comment

I had the pleasure of growing up on a farm just south of Gayville, so much time was spent in Yankton despite going to high school in Vermillion. South Dakota's not a bad place, it's just incredibly unremarkable. Except the Travelodge out in Spearfish. 1 Quote Link to comment
