Husker_Power
**Plans on playing football and baseball in college.** j/k wonder how many qbs we'll be pursuing? Quote Link to comment
Minnesota_husker
Another two sport athlete....uggghhh! I understand the want to find what makes you happy but they're at the point where they need to pick one or the other. I honestly think Khiry Cooper has really hurt his ability to be a great baseball player by doing both. Pick whichever one makes you happier and do one. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
This fb/baseball thing does not seem to be a good sign. Khiry, I forget who else is playing Baseball right now (Corey Cooper?), are having that possibly get in the way a little of their football development. You can't say for sure, but you can't say for sure otherwise unless they've emerged as serious contributors and frequent players. And Bubba, probably won't get to us. And Zach Lee, LSU's dual-threat baseball quarterback, bailed on them about a summer ago, if I recall, for pro baseball. Quote Link to comment
TJ Alum Husker
Didn't Turner Gill play two sports? Baseball was his second sport as I recall. Quote Link to comment
dylan
Didn't Turner Gill play two sports? Baseball was his second sport as I recall. yes, he did. i think turner even played minor league ball. really wish erick strickland would have tried football. guy was a flat stud of an athlete. of course, hard to fault his choices when he stuck around the NBA for so long. Haspula
Hope we get him. We could use some depth in the QB position 1. Martinez 2. Carnes 3. Starling 4. Alford Quote Link to comment
papio2chi
Will visit NU on Nov. 5 according to Rivals. I wasn't sure if we were still in it... Quote Link to comment
caveman99
Yeah this is a surprise, his recruitment was flying under the radar. I wonder if we are still in it because Alabama and others want him at another position? Quote Link to comment
ADS
LSu is the favorite, he favors any school that will let him play both football and baseball. He will play QB in college, and thats what all schools are recruiting him as. Quote Link to comment
teachercd
The closest this kid is getting to the midwest to play college ball is LSU Quote Link to comment

Treand3
Does anyone know what his potential draft stock is for baseball? I know some FSU fans don't think their QB commit Winston may not make it to campus b/c of baseball. Quote Link to comment
flatwaterfan
I think the best way to do it is play your primary sport solely for a couple of years to get proficient and then go play the other sport. Gill, Thomas, Davidson and Erstad did that roughly..... Quote Link to comment
RedTexan
Mods pls delete. Wrong athlete. Quote Link to comment
