Husker Richard
You'd think. But some people are ok with it as long as he owns up to his mistakes. I'm not. QUIT MAKING THEM. It's not that simple. You can't just fire a coach with several years' in a row of winning records. You'll never get another coach that way. Frank Solich come to mind? No, but consistent mediocrity does. Quote Link to comment
HuskerCarter
Brion isn't going to win the game, he will just be another QB getting knocked around. Quote Link to comment
dspanther05
If I was Brion Carnes or Jamal Turner I would transfer. Why would sit behind Taylor Martinez for 2 more years? Quote Link to comment
walksalone
just let the clock run... get it over with already Quote Link to comment
lo country
Not playing the younger guys now, IMO, really hurts recruiting. ie I wont' play even in a blow out loss/win. I wont get any meaningful reps, no development etc..... Quote Link to comment
adc7236
I have supported this coaching group but now I am not so sure. I cannot believe that TMart is still in the game. Quote Link to comment
zoogs
Shouldn't this raise a red flag then, that this is something that gets repeated. I don't get it. Yes, we lose games...it happens almost every year. This would be our third loss this year. When we lose, we knock Bo for coachspeak. And when I suggest he take blame, we knock him for...losing. It is a no-win situation for the coach obviously, but the point I'm trying to make is that Bo, if he says the right things in the presser, is doing things the right way. This is a tough game for any coach. I would say though, the biggest blame today goes on Beck for calling a largely lifeless offense, and on the effin' special teams. Quote Link to comment
TheCheshireCat
Brion isn't going to win the game, he will just be another QB getting knocked around. It's not about winning. It's about showing the starters that they will not be allowed to play if they don't perform. It's about giving other guys a chance. It's about giving experience to backups. Quote Link to comment

quitou
You guys can say all you want about the coaches... but this one is on the players. The players are in position, they just cant tackle. There is only so much you can teach to help tackling.... the rest is on the players. But when you have this many turnovers on special teams and offense there isnt much you can do. You can say that Bo didnt get them focused or whatever you guys want but i wont buy it simply because, and anyone who has ever played a sport will agree with me, 90% of being focused is on the players. We fired Coz because his D sucked, same with Cally, Wats, Bohl etc...... It was them last year and before. Now it is the kids fault. 4 yrs of the same crap tells me it is the staff. They're not prepared a few times a year. It's not the same as being terrible the entire year. THAT is the difference between Cos and Bo. Just saying that with Coz, folks blamed the poor D on him. The players got a pass. This year, the staff stinks at "it is the kids not tackling, dropping passes etc".... I'll still take this over the Callahan era any day. It's disappointing, perhaps even embarassing for the team. I don't like Beck's schemes and ability to stick with what works, and yet I still want him to stay and hopefully get everything in place, maybe even have time to work everything out rather than crucify him in year one. Perspective... Quote Link to comment
