The Bo Must Go Crowd

This staff just doesn't take recruiting seriously enough and it's already showing.

Taylor Martinez. Rex Burkhead. Lavonte David. The Freshman RB Trio. I could go on and on. Saying this staff doesn't take recruiting seriously isn't supported by the facts.

Lance Thorell, Cassidy say differently. Read my other post about the official visits. Taylor sucks and two players doesn't make up for the rest of the team being average at best. Read my last post about wasting 30 official visits, it's Solich recruiting all over again.

He gave you 7-8 names, you give him two and claim you're more right?

sean fisher, andrew green

Don't get me wrong, is Andrew Green a freshman?

RS Freshman I believe. And he sucks too.

And if he turns out to be as good as Dennard you'll be singing his praises.

Football is football. It should be easier to defend a bunch of running teams than it is a bunch of spread teams. Play physical and focused and you should be able to be successful no matter where you play if you are a team like NU is supposed to be.

There you go. Can't refute that argument. Let's just fire the whole staff and hire a new one. You've convinced me.

I have never said fire them this year. That is all you got? lmao

Look at the recruiting class that UM is bringing in and how good Hoke has them playing now with the limited talent that they have now. Then look at our coaches have only used 25 of our 55 allotted visits and it's not hard to see who is going to bring in the better players. This staff just doesn't take recruiting seriously enough and it's already showing.

Just curious. how many national titles have stellar recruiting classes brought Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Florida State, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas AM, Clemson, recently?

So you are one of those people that think that the almighty nebraska walk ons are better than kids that teams that would beat our ass fight after. Got it.

No, I am a person that sees schools that year in and year out recently are in the top ten in recruiting class "rankings" that have no titles to show for it. You were the one that said recruiting is the just cause of the teams struggles.

Still haven't seen any names out of you that could do a better job as a coach either there big shooter.

I'm not saying fire him now, I said he deserves two more years. You may want to read instead of assuming, because we all know what assuming makes you look like.

Well i'd guess i'd look a little something like you. A person that comes on here and bitches and bitches saying this and that, and yet fails to bring a logical thought out answer/solution to a question and or problem.. The only factual thing you have said is current National Champion teams have indeed had good recruiting classes. But what happens to the other nine teams that had "really good" recruiting classes. And then how does Nebraska become that one team to rise above the other 9 to win it all?

Don't hold your breath on that one. But if he does, then it shows that our new DB coach is pretty good since we have all seen how much he has been taken advantage of this year. Thorell is the only one who is the bigger bitch when it comes to opposing offenses gamplaning for our defense.

Before this site gets flooded with the coaching threads, I ask all those that say Bo must go,

Who do all you "football geniouses" think would should come here?

These all better be thought out, reasonable responses. This isn't a "wish list". Think about who is out there, and who you'd pick to fit the "Nebraska" way.

Seriously good luck. I am anxious to see some of the "responses" this crowd has.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying we should fire Bo (although I am growing more and more impatient with my disappointment in him). So the answer to this thread is solely a hypothetical IF we had to replace Bo, who would I want.

I think both of these guys have taken what I would consider "lower-tier" programs to national level teams. They do a lot with what they have to work with. Recruit well and develop the players. Get them in a "big-time" program like Nebraska and they could really excel. My perception is that's usually the way it works if you want to walk with the big dogs. Bob Stoops was the exception at Oklahoma. Most major programs have plucked a hot coach from a lower-tire program and taken that coach to new heights...Miles, Myer, Saban, etc. Seems to be the most reliable recipe for the type of success we want at Nebraska.

I'll say this: If Bo doesn't get to the CCG and at least have a good performance there next year, he will be on the hot seat. Let's revisit in 13 months. For now, let's beat Iowa and play focused and disciplined in a bowl game.

So youre saying that if we go 11-1 next year, and say our lone loss is to a team that represents our division in the championship game, and we get an at large bcs, that he's on the hot seat. Thats really stupid.

No, under that (extremely unlikely) scenario he won't be.

I want that coach/lol. And he is sitting at nebraska only making 200 grand a year. Snyder can do it. So can Tom. And Snyder played in a much tougher conference this year/lol.

Those other nine teams were probably still in the top 20 and then built depth and won a title. Something that NU won't be able to do if stuff doesn't change.

Recruit, which is something that this staff isn't doing. We have 8 commits and two of them two starts. That is a formula for winning the MAC, not B1G. I've giving plenty of logical thought and points, but I didn't know that I had to spell out the obvious parts to you. I assumed that you were a logical adult that knew enough about college football that I didn't have to go that far into detail.
