Santorum Warns about Satan

Recommended Posts

We might all have to leave the country. If the combined collection of clowns that have recently been elected or running for President is the best we can do in this country, God help us.

We've been doing that for over 200 years, let's give Satan a chance.

Actually it was around the 50's when the government got all religious on us. It seems since that time is when our country started to slide and nujotbs got too much power. In God We Trust didn't appear on money before then and managed just fine.

Unfortunately, just the opposite is true, as soon as we started taking God out fo the schools is when our country started to slide. I bleieve you stated in the fifties, coincidentally, the first case on here was in 1948, didn't take long for some results did it? Here are some important court cases that basically removed God from the school. eyeswear2allthatsholy

All you did was provide a link that established that religious people were trying to get involved with school like Intelligent Design from 1948 onward. School is for learning about facts and philosophy and stuff not about invoking faith in religion. Let's get schools back to what they were intended do which was teach but instead we have a religious right pushing their way into schools to force their view.

You can not be serious and think he is going to make contraceptions illegal, really? Most conservatives do want Roe v Wade overturned but I am sure he is going to worry about the economy before any social issues IF he is ever elected. :hmmph

Why would you think that? The campaigns and the GOP Congressional record sure indicates otherwise.

I believe even if he wanted to go after contraception and abortion bigger issues get in the way. Not enough time in the day to all that needs to get done IMO. chuckleshuffle

Aren't there bigger issues right now? It sure hasn't stopped the GOP from waging a political and legal battle against a broad and non-specific regulation . . . one that they supported a decade ago.

Show me the GOP representitvies that have acted like this. And there are many liberals who have said very hateful things to try to paint the GOP as the bad guys is an uphillfight. eyeswear2allthatsholy

Ahhh, so we're engaging in the tactic of willful ignorance again? Turn off Fox News for a week and watch some real news, and you're bound to be flush with examples--it is an election year, after all. :|

And frankly, I think Strigori already gave you a significant, historical example that you conveniently ignored and simply replied with your link 'o derp--Republican Joesph McCarthy and the Red Scare--an event that did more damage to this country through the use of rhetoric and slander/libel to Americans than all of the examples highlighted in your Malkin derpfest link combined.

Yes, there are bigger issues, who asked the question at the debate, one of the candidates or the media? :hmmph

I love your cute little derp word, cute!! McCarthy was a nutjob and did a lot of damage to our country, that doesn't excuse other bad behavior you so easily just term derp when it doesn't fit your little world. There are many other examples of the extreme left hurting our country. I gave you one little site, look around if you have the guts to really look at your side and what it is doing. And you need to try and watch a little Fox, you really need to have a different view yourself!! :wasted

You missed my point, I don't deny that school is for what you have said, I just showed when this country started going down hill as Husker99 pointed out. I just wanted to show him that it coincides with this country kicking God out of the schools not becoming more religious. The govt didn't get all religious on us in the fifties, just the opposite, it started removing God from schools and society.

Ahh, but what about the GOP establishment that backed his play and regurgitated his rhetoric? You 'conveniently' left that out.

I didn't leave anything out they were crazy back then. The dems were in favor of slavery and the GOP freed the slaves. History is on both sides if you look at our entire history of this country. Does that mean that the Dems are in favor of slavery now or that they hurt this country way more than McCarthy because they were for it back then!?!?!? How far do you want to go back to determine which party was worse? :bad

No i didn't miss your point. Funny how Chrisitianity didn't mind getting rid of pagan's stuff with holidays but now sit and complain when non-christians level the playing field. For about 150 years we didn't have In God We Trust printed on money. So i guess America wasn't as good back then?

What we do or don't print on our money, or if there is an extra verse in the Pledge of Allegiance or not, really has no bearing on the direction this country has taken over the course of the last 50 years. The reality is that the seculars have methodically removed God from the public arena, be that from the schools, from public buildings, or from everyday life. It is disengenius to suggest that the decay of our country is the result of what religious or right-wing groups want to happen. The fact is the opposite is what has actually been taking place. God and religious values in the US has been in steep decline. You and others seem to take pride in that but what good is there to show for it? The effective results have been significantly less than stellar. As a country, we are reaping what we sow. I wouldn't be proud of that, I would be embarrassed.

Christians are quick to whine about nothing, while at the same time pissing all over other belief systems.

I could say religious groups have been pushing their agenda on people who don't want it. If you want to talk about morals than look no further than your fellow christians. Look at all the priests molesting boys and then getting moved around. GOP members caught soliciting gay sex. Sounds like even the most faithful believers don't even believe in it.

Who's god was removed? Your god? The Islamic god? The Greek god? Oh no, it's always the Christian god. That's the only god that seems to have a god-crush on this country. Satan must only be attacking this country because he knows it's god's favorite. If a move were made to put Sharia law into order and have children worship Allah instead...would you be okay with that? No, I don't think you, or the rest of the Christian population would. You only prefer your god, which is exactly the reason why the secular population pushes for no religious influence in our schools. Because it doesn't belong there. No one's religious beliefs should hold merit over another persons.

The religious right of our country tends to spout off that there is a war against religion and insists that our country has been in a decline ever since "god was removed from out schools!" A decline to what? What exactly are you wanting to go back to? Tell me a time when everyone was happy with the way out government and society was "perfect". If you flashed back to the 1950's, you'd probably hear people of that generation complain about the same sh#t. Everyone has always complained about the same sh#t. "Blah, the government is terrible....screw this guy in office...our economy sucks....this war is over nothing....these young kids these days don't act the way we used to...blah!"

The decision to not allow our educational system to publicize or promote a certain religious belief has had nothing to do with anything in our society. Give me one example that is in direct correlation to the "removal of prayer" or the teachings of a certain religious sect. And I'll give you an opposite but equal...and just as plausible...explanation.

Are you seriously trying to make a case for the 40s and 50s being better than today?
