Foppa
I've been using this program to play 'Sports Nightly' from the Archives on my Macbook Pro, and it had been working fine. Now, I only get a 'This operation couldn't be completed,' or 'This is not a movie file'. I've tried updating it and also uninstalling and reinstalling it, to no avail. Anyone else use this and have problems, or know what the problem could be, or know of another way to play the files on a Mac? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
knapplc
What kind of video file is it? I use VLC Player and it pretty much plays everything. Do you use Safari or Firefox? If so, I could PM you some tips I've picked up along the way. Quote Link to comment
Foppa
Sports Nightly appears to use 'wvx'. But obviously it isn't video, it's an audio feed, but maybe they archive it as video? If so, apparently there's an audio/video read problem for me. I generally use Firefox, but maybe I should try Safari, I just typically don't use it because it tends to have slower load times. I'm not really familiar with VLC, as I've only wanted audio at this point. Quote Link to comment

Man...wish mine would. It has to be something frustratingly small, but I'm not that computer-savvy to pick up on it. Quote Link to comment

Foppa, Just use handbrake (freebie) to convert your wmv files to mp4 or mov format, these two file extention are the more standard format used Mac OS X. If you do not know about how to finish the task, follow this tip here. Regards, Smith Quote Link to comment
