Imagine how terrible it would be to find out that your mom, the woman you love most in the world, is actually your kidnapper and you've been living with the wrong family since you were born. This poor girl lived this in real life. Terrible story.

Teen figured out she was kidnapped as infant

An 18-year-old who was kidnapped as an infant had discovered months ago the truth that she was living with her abductor under an assumed name, court documents show.

Kamiyah Mobley was just eight hours old when a woman dressed as a nurse took her from her mother and disappeared. The abduction created a massive search, but Mobley was never found.

“This really is a joyous outcome,” said one former Jacksonville County investigator who had been involved in the case early on, according to First Coast News.

But for the abducted child, now an 18-year-old woman, a world of conflicting emotions and glaring attention was just beginning.

The only mother she had ever known, was arrested on charges of kidnapping and interference with custody. In a stark South Carolina jailhouse courtroom last Friday, the teenager wept and called out “Momma” after Williams quietly acknowledged to a judge the crimes alleged against her.

Amid the tearful scene, the judge allowed the teenager to walk behind her desk and up to the window so that she and Williams could hold hands through the screen, WJXT News reported.

“I love you, Mom,” the girl told Williams.

Florida does not disappoint for crazy stories.

Florida deputy tried to kill elderly woman, frame it as suicide

According to an affidavit and police timeline of the case, Bybee befriended the 79-year-old woman shortly after responding to a call for service on October 21, 2016. He began making regular visits to her home and introduced her to members of his family in an effort to gain her trust, Knight said.

On January 9, with the internal investigation well under way, detectives seized an envelope mailed to Bybee at the Sarasota Sheriff's Office, according to officials. Inside were four checks appearing to be from the woman made out to Bybee and his three children that totaled $65,000.

Things escalated dramatically three days later.

That's when the woman reported to the sheriff's office that Bybee had entered her unlocked front door while wearing dark clothes and latex gloves, according to officials.

Once inside, Bybee allegedly held the woman down and forced prescription medication into her mouth, causing lacerations and abrasions to her face as well as bruising to her body. She lost consciousness and called for help when she awoke.

Investigators discovered that the door to her garage was left open and her car was left running, filling her home with carbon monoxide.
