GSG
What the fricken' heck are these turkeys doing?!?!?! the evolutionary process of turkeys turning into turkey vultures? Why Are These Turkeys Doing This? It’s definitely not the first time someone’s filmed a turkey circling something: Someone caught this turkey circling a headstone in Cape Cod, Massachusetts back in 2013. But this situation certainly looks sinister. So why the hell are they doing this? “I can’t say I’ve heard of something like this before,” Debra Kriensky, a conservation biologist at NYC Audubon, told Gizmodo. “They’re omnivores but pretty much eat nuts and seeds and fruits, so certainly they wouldn’t be interested in eating [the cat].” She thought they were just checking out the weird new thing. Another biologist agreed. “They’re just making sure that it’s no longer a threat,” Mark Hatfield, wildlife biologist at the National Wild Turkey Federation told Gizmodo. “It’s more of a curiosity type of thing. Turkeys are very basic.” Quote Link to comment
NUance
I've always had dreams at night. Maybe not every night, but at least a couple nights per week. Or so I thought. I very seldom have nightmares. They are mostly about random stuff. Completely, weirdly random things that I've never done before. Like last week when I dreamt about playing some sort of game where a bunch of my buddies were taking turns throwing rocks at some sort of stuffed animal. But they couldn't hit it. We had been out hunting all day on a hunting trip and were playing this game by the campfire in the evening. When it was my turn I found out the other guys had been throwing little scraps of burnt toast. No wonder they couldn't hit the stuffed animal! I had some small chunks of concrete so I threw those, and hit it. And then someone got after me saying I would damage the stuffed animal if I hit it very hard with those chunks of concrete. Weird dream, huh? So anyway, I usually remember my dreams right when I wake up. Not always, but usually. But then I forget most of them within a few hours. So I thought I'd try to do a short term project where I record what I dreamed for a few months to see what they're like. For the past two and a half months I've kept a blank journal book next to my bed. Whenever I wake up remembering a dream I write it down. It turns out I dream a lot more than I realized. I've filled up 82 pages of dreams since the week before Christmas. I'll probably quit writing them down when I fill the book up. lol 1 Quote Link to comment
Stumpy1
WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Poland will seek the arrest and extradition of a Minnesota man exposed by The Associated Press as a former commander in an SS-led unit that burned Polish villages and killed civilians in World War II, prosecutors said Monday. Prosecutor Robert Janicki said evidence gathered over years of investigation into U.S. citizen Michael K. confirmed "100 percent" that he was a commander of a unit in the SS-led Ukrainian Self Defense Legion. He did not release the last name in line with privacy laws but the AP has identified the man as 98-year-old Michael Karkoc, from Minneapolis. https://www.yahoo.com/news/poland-confirms-minnesota-man-nazi-commander-135314429.html Better late then never I guess. Moiraine
There's a job opening in my hometown which I'm qualified for. But... what if I have to work with a high school classmate? Or worse, multiple high school classmates? *shiver* (I have a job still but I want a 20% raise). Quote Link to comment

They'd be an improvement over some of the people I've worked with over the years. Well, some of them would anyway. Quote Link to comment
