808Husker in KCMO
13 and 0 heading into the bowl game. It took way too long into this thread to get here. I'll on-up you and say 14-0 after the MNC game. Quote Link to comment
BigRedPowerWagon
Gotta tell ya, im not drinking the kool aid. I think weve got a shot in playing the NC. The only game i see being a problem is at the Conference Champ game. If we can squeak by a very good tOSU team were in it. Now weather we can win or not thats another thing. Our schedule is set up that our hardest games are at home. Michigan, No Denard, no problem. Just need to figure out out to get the talent we have to wrap up tackels, close in gaps. Bo needs to figure out his shortcomings. Were undefeated until the Big 10 champ game. After that, its all up in the air. Quote Link to comment
The Maudfather
Next year will be the easiest schedule we've had in recent memory. There's no telling what's going to happen with this defense. We lose just about every single player, so there is going to be myriad inexperience. Frankly, it's just way too early for me to make any sort of meaningful predictions about next season. Landlord
For the realists out there that realize we will not have a running game and defensive coordinators will adjust for Martinez' shortcomings. And don't forget for a D that will take suckage to another level... Also, no Arkansas State and Idaho State buttercups. Wyoming--W Southern Miss--W UCLA--L (sorry guys...UCLA will only get better > NU) SDSU--W Illinois--W @ Purdue--W/L (Purdue at home...it's like Jekyll and Hyde with Purdue) @ Minnesota--L (sorry...Kill will outcoach Pelini) Northwestern--L (revenge game) @ Michigan--L Michigan State--L (revenge game, pt. 2) @ Penn State--L Iowa--W 6-6 Heart of Dallas Bowl Quote Link to comment

KJ.
Right now. If you're smart, you'll probably be feeling emotions including: We played arguably the 2nd best team in the country pretty well Georgia is good, but how could anyone possibly argue that Georgia is the 2nd best team in the country? Anyway, history would say 4 losses, but with that schedule, only 2 or 3 losses. Glad you asked! UGA was about 5 yards away from playing for the national championship instead of Alabama. If Alabama beats ND, then who's to say UGA isn't #2? All you know is that they barely got by Alabama, so it's entirely possible they're #2. Quote Link to comment

So nobody in the country thinks it's possible they're #2. And don't forget they got hammered by South Carolina. The season isn't about 1 game. Maybe A&M is #2 because they actually beat Alabama. But wait a minute, LSU beat A&M. And Clemson beat LSU. So Clemson is #2. But wait... Oh, my head hurts now. Georgia is not the #2 team. I'm going to say it, and every voter will too. That's who. shyndy
10-2 losses to UM and PSU with a BCS at large berth Quote Link to comment

That's who. ....Right. They didn't get the 5 yards, that's the point. You can use the myteamisbetterthanyourteam.com approach to decide who is #2 all you want, but after the regular season ended Georgia was effectively in a 3-team playoff for the national championship and lost in the semi-finals. If Notre Dame also loses to Alabama, you have no objective way to relatively place ND and UGA. I'm not saying they're going to finish ranked #2 in any poll. Just that at the conclusion of the regular season they were one of three teams with a shot at a national championship. They won't be the winner, meaning they're either #2 or #3 based on that way of looking at it. Quote Link to comment
mrandyk
4 losses. The only question is 9-4 or 10-4. Quote Link to comment
