knapplc
I'm a bit late on starting this thread. Work has been underway since the last Basketball game, and they've made a bit of visible progress. I'll be adding the Devaney Center into my tour when I take project update photos, but with the bulk of the renovation taking place internally, it remains to be seen how much progress I'll have to report via the camera. Probably get most of our info from the local papers. Anyway, here's the south entrance, with some girder work going on. The north entrance - nothing happening here yet. 1 Quote Link to comment
huskeraddict
Going off the renovation designs, it appears they're going to update the exterior signage which begs the question, what's going to happen to the old "BOB DEVANEY SPORTS CENTER" letters and can I buy them? Quote Link to comment
corncraze
Here's another one from inside the LJS released after the first game. Quote Link to comment
Lyons in the Sea of Red.
Are they even doing much to the north entrance? I was under the impression that the bulk of the change was on the south side. Quote Link to comment
Comish
There is enough going on inside that it's been stated that even if the Huskers got picked (and accepted) a lower tourney bid with their losing record that the BOB wouldn't be available for use because of construction. Quote Link to comment

Well that and they'd be probably be a very low seed and would be on the road anyway. Quote Link to comment

Anyway, it's almost certainly moot now. Quote Link to comment

huskrplaya
On that site, there is a picture of the rendering of the south side of Devaney and the ground is flat. They're not digging all the up are they? I do like it though. Quote Link to comment
huskeraddict
I'm not a huge volleyball fan but I might be inclined to go to a game just to see how different it feels in there vs basketball. Quote Link to comment

Looks like the ramp will be totally taken out and the main entrance will be on what is now the lower level. Quote Link to comment
huskeraddict
via the Huskers Facebook page Here's a look at construction going on at the Bob Devaney Sports Center right now. This picture shows the new Volleyball/Club level floor structure as it is going in. 2 Quote Link to comment
Blackshirts007
Looking at that picture, am i the only who would be scared going in there with all the lights off? Looks like a creepy haunted arena in that pic with the construction. Quote Link to comment
ZRod
Just for reference, this is what it is supposed to look like. Quote Link to comment
C N Red
Just for reference, this is what it is supposed to look like. Pretty sweet. Will be one of the best, if not the best venue for volleyball in the country I would think. Quote Link to comment
