OT

-collar ties, Kokesh double leg attempt

FINAL Kokesh wins 6-4

Kokesh and Evans did not meet at all this season, so even though this was only the Cons SemiFinals and not the Finals, this was a great match. This match was one of opposing styles on their feet. Evans often uses collar ties and pressure to make his oppenent uncomfortable and off balance, which allows him to execute solid single and double leg attempts. However, Kokesh, who likes to keep space with heavy hands and wristle control, made Evans wrestle his match. As a result, Kokesh was able to look in control for most of the match. Kokesh led by two late in the 3rd so was playing defense, which was a mistake as it allowed Evans to get is offense going and force OT with a TD. Once in OT though, Kokesh went back on the offense and scored off of a badly timed single leg attempt by Evans. Great match by Kokesh. If you have any young ones in junior high or HS, this would be a mat for them to watch and learn from.

LOL. Kokesh fist bumped the Ohio St fans because he prevented currently #2 Iowa from closing the gap with currently #1 Ohio St in Team Point, Ohio St 90 and Iowa 82.
