S Jason Hall [Texas - Signed LOI]

Really seems to read plays well. He always looks to be drifting where the play is going before it gets there. Makes up for that Staffordesque 40 time.

His 40 was an electronic time, hanheld he'd be a 4.5 guy, not bad for a high schooler.

His coaches said, with a stopwatch, they have timed him as low as 4.38 sec. Either way, his films look show he knows how to put himself in position to be disruptive or make a tackle.

Will he be a better CB or S at the next level? We have a good number of Safety talent coming in (LeRoy Alexander, Nathan Gerry, Drake Martinez, Luke Gifford) We're really needing some CB's at this point with Boaz Joseph being the only guy from last year and Charles Jackson being the only one from the year before.

Nebraska likes him at corner, nickel, and quarter. He wants to come up for BRW.

I agree with the above. There is a reason his commitment was accepted in May. Got work to do to keep him. He will have a lot of options.

Agree. We need corners. Having said that Bo seems to like cb's that have a lot of safety type attributes. That must be because they play match up zones moreso than straight man lock down coverage?

I would say he values size at corner because of his preference for jamming receivers at the line and knocking them off their routes. They also seem big on hand checking down the field. This physical style is easier with bigger guys. Even dennard, who wasn't that tall, was well built. Mitchell seems to be the big exception, but he has better quickness and ball skills than most.

Another benefit to recruiting bigger corners is roster flexibility in that they can move to peso or safety.
