BIGREDFAN_in_OMAHA
With his draft stock dropping it looks more likely Ryan Boldt will be at Nebraska: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1634135-2013-mlb-draft-prospects-in-danger-of-plummeting-down-draft-boards-before-june? Quote Link to comment
bball_backer
Getting him to campus is still going to be hard. Keith Law still projects him at 40 and it is very possible that someone will take him around there and offer him a little more money than usual because they know the deal they're getting that low. hskerholic
Noooooooooooooo @JonNyatawa: Hmm. MT @PBbboese: REPORT: Ryan Boldt hosted at Fenway today by BoSox, who may make 7-figure offer. He's committed to @Husker_Baseball Quote Link to comment
Huskball
Based on the round he was drafted, anything over $100,000 would make the Red Sox get hit with a big luxury tax, so highly unlikely. Quote Link to comment

Huskball
Webb Covers baseball for ESPN: (The money would be mostly a signing bonus and not salary.) Chris Webb @ChrisMWebb 2h I feel Boston could offer Nebraska signee Ryan Boldt somewhere around $1.25 million. Grant Bachman @GAbachman 42m @ChrisMWebb for someone who knows NOTHING! About the scale. Is that below, at, or above his draft slot? Your gut feeling on him? Chris Webb @ChrisMWebb 37m @GAbachman I feel he signs. Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
Boston must either be having trouble signing their higher picks or made some incredible deals with their higher picks. Quote Link to comment

Comish
Good news indeed, but I won't be totally comfortable until after the August date passes............. Quote Link to comment
StPaulHusker
Good news indeed, but I won't be totally comfortable until after the August date passes............. I agree. Bubba Starling was supposedly a solid commit here until the Royals threw enough cash at him to make him think otherwise. Quote Link to comment
