StPaulHusker
Hoke made a pretty good point. He said they kept the MSU and Purdue game. Knew why they didn't keep Michigan game. http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/76680/hoke-says-nd-chickening-out-of-series Quote Link to comment

StPaulHusker
I agree. You just don't hear coaches say it too much. I liked that he called them out. 2 Quote Link to comment
Count 'Bility
Good for Brady. Screw Notre Dame and their elitest bullsh#t. After they go 6-6 this year and their star player has a real life girlfriend, things will be back to normal. 1 Quote Link to comment
NUance
"The Notre Dame game, that rivalry, which they're chickening out of," Hoke said. "They're still gonna play Michigan State, they're gonna play Purdue, but they don't want to play Michigan," Hoke continued. Hoke also disses Mich State in the same breath as the Neuter Dame slam--putting Sparty in the same category as Turdue. Nice. Quote Link to comment

Creed
MSU and Purdue need to drop ND. For the most part, the B1G early OOC schedules have been terrible. Mich, MSU, Purdue seem to play 3 MAC teams plus ND every year. What does beating ND really do for you anyway? Wisconsin's OOC sked has been worse. B1G needs to play more vs any SEC teams and some marquee games vs ACC, B12, P12 (FSU, Clemson, VT, OU, Tex, OSU, Oregon, USC) Quote Link to comment

In history, Michigan fought to keep Michigan Agricultural out of the BUG, but the series with Notre Dame raised their national profile to the point the other schools wanted them in. They'd probably be another MAC school without their football program. Purdue should be a mac school because of their football program. But they're an easy in-state bus ride so it just makes sense for the schools to play. Quote Link to comment
strigori
ND declined B1G membership several times, cut ties and let them go. And frankly fans of every other program are getting tired of the good TV slots going to ND games. Quote Link to comment
