HuskerShark
During a time when there's so much negativity flowing around this board, one enormous bright spot of this team this season has been Ameer Abdullah. Here is a graphic of his performance in B1G conference games this year so far. Notice how he has played 1 less game than the others but still has nearly as many yards as the conference leaders. We are truly blessed to have him on our team. Quote Link to comment
The Dude
Yeah, I don't think I'd trade Abdullah for any of those guys (and Hyde & Gordon have been damn impressive). Gotta work on that ball security though. Quote Link to comment
EZ-E
Love watching him play and our line has done a great job of run blocking for him. Quote Link to comment
admo
Ameer has done a real nice job this year. He deserves some high praises for what he is doing on the field. Personally speaking, and it's not a knock on Ameer, I think he is slightly less talented than Hyde, Gordon, and Fitz Toussaint. He is right up there with James White and Venric Mark. This is a strong conference for running backs and Ameer is really playing well. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Best player on our team and I love his toughness. Picked things up nicely after losing Rex like I thought he would. Runs tough, see holes well and attacks them and is our most consistent playmaker. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mC8wpJbIaXk Quote Link to comment
QMany
He is great, and I'm lucky we have him. That being said, hold on to the damn ball. Quote Link to comment

I'd bet Mich and Ohio St. would rather have those two. Quote Link to comment
Vince R.
Carlos Hyde is vastly overrated and is left alone because teams focus on Miller. Fitz only gets recognition because of the team he plays on and Michigan players are hyped up more than anyones. Ameer and Melvin are friends for a reason. They know they are the cream of the crop and respect their games. A backfield with Ameer and Melvin would be insane. Quote Link to comment
admo
I guess we disagree Vince. But that's okay. I never said I would prefer them as Huskers over Ameer, so I'm sure we agree on that. I like Ameer a lot. I'm not trying to disrespect him. It's just how I would rank them. Quote Link to comment

I'm going to post a video in a new thread really soon. I'll be curious to see everyones reaction. Quote Link to comment
Abdullah the Butcher
ATT YDS AVG 155 575 3.7 Fitz Toussaint is medicore this year, not even 4 yards a carry. I wouldn't even have him in the top 3 on our depth chart. 2 Quote Link to comment
admo
Not to mention against Penn State, Fitz had 27 yards on 27 carries. Rebounded with 150 last week. But still, that was pretty crazy. Quote Link to comment
Scratchtown
Ameer is awesome no doubt but Melvin Gordon is way better. Ameer has played 2 of those 3 games vs two schools that were going into last weeks games 92nd and 107th against the rush. Quote Link to comment
Knoxville Husker
I think Newby will be even better before its all said and done here. He's more of a home run threat and more elusive. Abdullah probably a bit better inside runner. Quote Link to comment

Last year he also had just a 4.0 average - in a backfield where all attention went to Robinson and Gardner. Quote Link to comment
