So the leading candidates for the Louisville job are Watson and Beck?

:sarcasm (I think)

The Fox Sports guy just mentioned Watson as a candidate. Then again, Fox Sports. lol

Wouldn't surprise me if Watson gets a look. He's been a candidate before and would keep some continuity. Their offense has been pretty good.

Here it is boys.

Honestly, as easy as it is to recruit in Texas, Strong will make it that much easier. As much as i dont want to bring race into it, it will be like shooting fish in a barrel for Strong. Most importantly and scary is he can coach them up better than Mack. It hurts to say, but i believe UT will be the next dynasty.

There may be mixed emotions by racist hillbilly fans but the race issue is going to make UT a real "powerful player." Racist UT fans may not see it, but I really think this the thing that makes UT a major force!!

In all honesty, I know Nebraska and its fans are very, very forward thinking(i.e. George Flippin), and I think a good black coach could do unbelievable here and I would very much like to see it in the future if Bo doesnt work out!

That's not an unlikely scenario. Since we have ties to one of the top black coaches in the nation. (I don't think the Kansas debacle should be held against Turner. Kansas is a morass that can't easily be fixed.)

I give Strong three years at Texas.

Really no idea why. Other than I just think Louisville has gotten more credit than they deserve over the last 52 weeks.

The politics will eat him alive

Thats a very good point. It will be interesting to see how he handles all the booster BS.

Is shooting fish in barrels a "black thing"?

Texas has the talent to be that freight train program. They just need a guy to mobilize and activate that talent. Mack Brown had obviously lost that edge, as well as the ability to nab and develope the necessary quarterbacks, which has been the main reason for their struggles. Strong could very well be Texas's Saban/ChipKelly/Pete Carrol. I'm a bit nervous about it. Not gonna lie. it's not some "splash" hire-which I think are overrated anyway. They went and got the next up-and-comer who's already pretty well established, yet has to be pretty motivated still.
