TGHusker
Per this site, the top 300 recruits are ranked. Our top recruit is O. lineman Farmer at 114. We have 2 more listed. Per the list below, the rich get richer. SEC dominates but OSU is tied for # 3. In the Big 10 Ohio State has 15, Mich 7, PSU 5, NW & MSU 4 of the top 300 - all ahead of NU. We are tied wt football power Maryland wt 3. Guys back to the other posts on ranking, we can say we recruit for our needs but it still takes talent & excellent coaching to catch up to OSU . I don't think our coaching and development is so far superior to make up for the talent deficiency (yes as ranked by the non-coaches). http://forum.huskerm...spects-for-2014 Team Representation (54): Alabama: 18 Arizona State: 6 Washington: 3 LSU: 16 Kentucky: 6 California: 2 Florida State: 15 Texas: 6 West Virginia: 2 Ohio State: 15 Mississippi: 5 Wisconsin: 2 Florida: 12 Oregon: 5 Boise State: 1 Georgia: 12 Penn State: 5 BYU: 1 Tennessee: 12 Arizona: 4 Central Florida: 1 Texas A&M: 12 Arkansas: 4 Cincinnati: 1 Notre Dame: 11 Baylor: 4 Indiana: 1 Auburn: 10 Michigan State: 4 Iowa State: 1 USC: 10 Northwestern: 4 Minnesota: 1 Clemson: 9 Oklahoma State: 4 Missouri: 1 Miami (Fla.): 9 Virginia: 4 Pittsburgh: 1 Stanford: 9 Maryland: 3 Syracuse: 1 Oklahoma: 8 Mississippi State: 3 TCU: 1 South Carolina: 8 Nebraska: 3 Utah: 1 Michigan: 7 North Carolina: 3 Vanderbilt: 1 UCLA: 7 N.C. NowledgeableFan
Go sell crazy somewhere else, We're all stocked uphere! LOL on how many fans drink the kool aid from recruiting sites. I remember when Nebraska had the number 5 recruiting ranking in 2005 per Rivals. Not a good year - but on paper it was fabulous...... 2 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
+1 for the Nicholson quote. Probably helped that it was a very big class (30) but it did have several really good players. Bowman and Lucky perhaps weren't the transcendent player we might have expected for the scarce five-star recruits we get but Bowman has been playing in the NFL for several years and Lucky is #4 in All-Purpose Yards in Husker History (behind Rodgers, Rozier and Green). Dillard, Potter, Slauson (who was un-rated) and Suh have all been in the NFL. And Turner, Taylor, Hickman, Hardy, Glenn were all decent contributors. That's a pretty decent class - they were just stuck in a train wreck. Quote Link to comment
NUance
Northwestern: 4 Look Northwestern with four. They landed some highly sought-after recruits. Beat out Bama for one guy. Beat the Stronghorns for a recruit out of Tejas. Nice. Quote Link to comment
Atbone95
Sigh... Not again.... can we either lock this or merge it.... Quote Link to comment

The class had talent, and a coaching staff that couldnt get crap out of it. Quote Link to comment
Redmusky
Stars mean something, a number of sites have good to a great eye for talent. Look at the top programs chasing said players, look at the same schools win 10 ,11 ,12 games per year. Do sites and coaches miss player yes, would I like to have some of that talent in husker red YES. Suh was a four star the sites under estimated him by one star. Quote Link to comment
