behrens
B1G Preview I lurk Huskerboard and rarely post, but I had to share some good news. I have seen this team do some great things under Erstad, and I am forever hopeful. I think we go to a regional this year if (1) Kubat stays healthy, and (2) we find 3-4 strong bats to fill the void in our lineup. Baseball America author Aaron Fitt will be taking questions on Reddit, Thursday February 14 @ 2PM CST. You can ask about this article, this publication, the rankings, the B1G, or anything baseball. 2 Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Problem is, Kubat isn't healthy. He has an arm issue and didn't make the trip to Arizona this weekend. Erstad was really vague about it, and he didn't say anything about elbow, shoulder or use the word "surgery," so here's hoping it's just some minor glitch and he gets healthy and contributes. Losing your Friday starter just before the season begins sucks. Quote Link to comment
hskrfan4life
Nice to see the Big Ten being called strong. Quote Link to comment
VectorVictor
Nice to see the Big Ten being called strong. Helps that Delaney backed off on the recruiting restrictions somewhat. That and the RPI changes should help the B1G as a whole this season. And hadn't heard about Kubat. That really sucks... Quote Link to comment
HuskersNC949597
Good thing DeLeon and Bummer emerged last season. Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
Infuriating that we don't get a series with IU this season. Quote Link to comment
Husker no ka oi
Was watching the huskers last night. Did I see that correct, are they predicting us to win the Big 10 in baseball. If so earstad wasted no time in getting this going in the right direction. Quote Link to comment
HuskersNC949597
As far as I know, Nebraska's picked to finish second. Getting to the NCAA tournament is the goal, though, and that's easily attainable with a solid second place finish behind Indiana, if that's how it plays out. Quote Link to comment
