Landlord
If Florida wins it all, I still have a good chance at winning my pool. Come on, Gators. Quote Link to comment
PaulCrewe
Just sit someone in the middle that can hit a 12-15 footer. Hit a few and they have to collapse and shooters will be open. If you don't, they can get away with only guarding the perimeter and letting Austin control everything 15 feet and in. Creighton didn't and they got worked. Greg got out coached by Scott Drew. Not many get out coached by Scott Drew. you are really underestimating how well baylor was playing. and how easy it is to 'just sit someone in the middle that can hit a 12-15 footer.' it is not that easy to get the ball inside the perimeter with the amount of athleticism and length baylor had. I'm not underestimating how well Baylor shot. I was not as impressed with their defense. Creighton has had trouble against the zone lately, it is not a secret. The middle was WIDE OPEN. Commentators were mentioning it, too. Instead, Doug and others just floated to where they wanted to be on the court, the perimeter, where four defenders were camped out. They were challenging them to beat them in the middle and with the mid-range game. This challenge was not accepted. Yes, Baylor switched up their looks, ran matchup zone, and "amoeba" defenses. However, if you have the best player in the land, you have to know that is coming and prepare for it. Said this in another thread or up above. How many times in the first half did Chapman dribble right into the key and was given that wide open jumper at the line. A bunch. You sit McDermott right there and he makes that shot or causes so much attention that perhaps you get an open Wragge in the corner his preferred shooting spot. Drew won the ingame coaching by a landslide Quote Link to comment

Drew won the ingame coaching by a landslide mid-range jumpers are tough shots. and they were not letting anything get inside the perimeter. you guys act like creighton lost just because they were shooting bad, which they were, and not exploiting the zone, which was extremely stout, but bu was also making everything. i just do not think creighton had much of a chance that night. they had a bad game and baylor played extremely well. not much more to it. PaulCrewe
Amazing the success you can have attacking the middle of a zone isn't it.Baylor begs you to settle for outside jumpers. Quote Link to comment

Omaha-Husker
That should of been a no call. Quote Link to comment
