Reading this and the other thread about stats etc.... IMO, our D is going to be good this year. Some teams are going to be shocked against us this year. Finally appear to have athletes at all 3 levels ie 2009/2010 (not saying performance wise yet), a mean nasty streak seems to be developing ie Mitchell and Alexander (Leroy talking about the Blackshirts and letting the O no the D IS Nebraska) VV statements, Bo seems to have changed ie open practices etc......Pass the koolaid

Agree. I really don't think there's much argument that our athleticism this year will be the best it's been in several years. We were vastly improved down the stretch last year - not that that's saying much. We could be a very good defense and not be all that close to the 2009 squad but if we're anywhere in the ballpark we'll be dangerous.

As with Cockrell, Keels not really standing out so far either. Hopefully both are still adjusting. Either he or Natter really needs to step up - hopefully both.

Bo has given Cockrell some love, I think him moving to work at CB in addition to NB might be more about the potential emergence of CJ at NB.

Collins spent a lot of time at DE today. Sounds like we are really prepping him to be in the rotation there as Keels and Natter haven't been coming along as fast as they'd like. Natter has been slowed by a bum knee so hopefully getting over that will help. Also, Keels wasn't at practice today so that probably had some to do with it as well.
