Husker Women get Commit from Lanie Page

Recommended Posts

The Huskers, of course, had a slight advantage: Lanie's older sister, five-star prospect Kaylee Page, starts her Husker career this fall. Although there was no guarantee that Lanie would also pick Nebraska, one of her AAU teammates, Leavenworth (Kansas) center Rachel Blackburn, announced her commitment for the 2015 class last week.

Lanie Page is the No. 36 overall prospect in the 2015 class according to ESPN, and the No. 71 overall prospect according to Prospects Nation. Her commit gives Nebraska three Top 100 pledges for the 2015 class -- Blackburn, Page and Fremont star Jessica Shepard, a consensus top 5 national prospect.
Lanie and Kaylee Page helped Wamego to the 4A state title and were both first-team all-state players in Kansas last year according to The Wichita Eagle. Kaylee Page averaged 15.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists, while Lanie Page averaged 17.1 pounds 7.2 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2.7 blocks per game. Their dad, Jim Page, coaches the team.
