Husker Women to Host Duke in B1G/ACC Challenge

Recommended Posts

For all its success in the last three years, the Nebraska women's basketball team has yet to win in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Organizers didn't make it easy for the Huskers to bust into the win column this year.
Nebraska will host Duke Wednesday, Dec. 3. The Blue Devils, which finished 28-7 last year, and the Huskers both advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last year and both were upset by lower-seeded teams in a bid to reach the NCAA Regional at Pinnacle Bank Arena. In the 2013 NCAA Tournament, Duke beat Nebraska in the Sweet Sixteen before losing to Notre Dame in the Elite Eight.
"This will be a great game for our fans to look forward to during the non-conference season at Pinnacle Bank Arena," Nebraska coach Connie Yori said. "Duke has regularly been a top 10 team the last several years, and one of the top teams in the ACC. It will be a great challenge for our team, but we have a long way to go before we are ready to focus on that game. It is a great reason to start getting excited for our second season at the new arena."
