Is Isaiah worth offering a scholarship or are we sending desperate offers at this point?

I wouldn't characterize it as desperation at all.
There are a number of good reasons to try and sign him.
1. It's a D-1 player at a position of need.
2. It's a positive addition to stem the negative flow of of spin surrounding the program.
3. It's a great opportunity to re-establish some connections with the Omaha basketball community.
Imo:

1. D-1 yes, Power5 no. Position of need sure, size/quality of need...questionable.
2. Sure it makes for a good media story, but does it actually help the program?
3. True and probably the main strength of if we pick him up.

We weren't giving the kid the time of day until all of the transfers. Now we are desperate for big men and interested.

I have concerns that he's a Center in build/playing style but has SF/PF height. He's not overly athletic/quick to make up for being undersized.

The OWH said that he was a 4 star recruit by ESPN.  He is also 6'9", 240.  We need get him on the weights over the summer.
Espn did rate him as a 4star last year. 247 and Rivals haven't ranked him. I'm seeing him listed at 6'8 more then 6'9, either is undersized for a Center.

Definitely a position of need now, but I'm not sure he's the quality we need. Still has 0 Power5 offers.

Agree. not as a freshman, but I think he is very serviceable with some added muscle.  He is definitely soft.

Nebraska has official visits scheduled soon with two graduate transfers, both big men from teams that played in the 2017 NCAA tournament.

Visiting this weekend is Duby Okeke (Doo-bee Oh-Kay-Kay), a 6-foot-8, 230-pound center from Winthrop. Arriving in the middle of next week is Hans Brase, a 6-8, 231-pound forward from Princeton.

The Huskers also are still in the hunt for 6-4 guard Thomas Allen, who was the New England Prep School Athletic Conference player of the year and is considered one of the nation’s top long-range shooters.

Allen, who visited Lincoln last fall, signed with North Carolina State in November out of Brewster Academy, which went 33-0 this season.

After N.C. State fired coach Mark Gottfried, Allen got his release last month and has offers or high interest from Nebraska, Kansas, Xavier, Georgetown, Michigan, Ole Miss and Texas.

So would it make up for the loss of the transfers if Miles got Allen, Maye and one of those above with the Omaha kid after all the transfers? Not blow off the door unreal but really a good make up for all the guys we lost. I see two of those guys maybe playing some minutes for us next year.

Looking less likely we take Isaiah, a Princeton PF just visited us too. His name is Hanse Brase, he only played in 5 games all year but shot 100 percent form the free throw line and 50 percent from the floor. According to Washut he is eligible immediately so I would assume miles saves the scholly for next year and takes the Princeton kid.

The kids stats are found here. Not too shabby his soph and Junior year, looks like he can score but an injury derailed him the 2015 season and the 2016 season.

I've heard Isiah may have some academic issues, which is why WichSt wants him to go to prep school.

if wichita st wanted him to go to a prep school it would have more to do with the fact they had no scholarships to give up until last week when a juco guard decided to transfer. i have also not seen his name mentioned as someone they are recruiting.
